I still think the kids could have come here if she didn’t want it at her house or they could have come here and if she really wants the house to herself why the kids can’t just stay with us for a few days instead of having my Mom drive to her house?

But she doesn’t want to put two kids in the car, I feel sorry for her kids since if it’s that much trouble driving to our house, I can’t imagine they will go on vacation

ETA: of all the inconsiderate, selfish things my sister has done, this is by far the most selfish, her needs above everyone else’s, Mom wanted Monday and Tuesday off next week but sister is making Mom go on Monday, at least Mom is bringing the dog but still she won’t even let Mom have a break for Christmas

What do you previously think was the most selfish she has ever done?

Making us take care of her dog for the past year and a half or making my Mom help her when there’s only one child to take care of because she sends Hope away to school or her other grandparents which by the way Hope is going to be with other grandparents so Benjamin is the only one home

But it is all connected and the same basic thing Gracie. She never drives anywhere, she never has thought about your mom.

Your mom needs to stand up for herself and say no though.

It’s not okay, like she won’t even let Mom have a week off next month when my uncle and aunt from NYC come to visit us in SF like I’m sorry I would have told my sister I can’t help you that week, have your husband take a week off or send the kids to the other grandparents but I’m spending time with your uncle and aunt who only come to visit once every few years

BTW I find it bad that now she doesn’t even care about either kid, like if work is stressing her out so much than freaking quit, I get it your husband’s job is unstable but you obviously don’t want to work, and considering school starts in 2 weeks and you’ve only planned one lesson, your heart is obviously not into teaching right now and that’s not fair to the students

Apparently she’s unionized so they can’t fire her she already knows her lessons are going to suck according to the email she sent to mom, I feel sorry for her students

I feel sorry for Hope and Benjamin too, but like seriously the kids and her students deserve so much better than what my sister is giving them

Oh you can still get fired through a union, it is just more of a pain on the employer....

True but her email to Mom made it seem like she couldn’t be fired because she’s unionized, I mean it may be a pain for her employer but if sister’s heart isn’t into teaching, and her lessons are going to suck than it might be something her employer has to do especially since sister works at a pretty good high school
