It really annoys me how some parents let their kids do whatever they want at the park

Like I’m all for freedom but when your kids are punching, kicking and hitting our kids with sticks and you’re not doing anything to stop them is where I get annoyed

It really isn’t Cathy, like we can get our kids out of there which we did but that means their park time was cut short but I still think you shouldn’t be not paying attention to what your kid is doing and letting them do whatever they want, like it’s not okay

Crossing fingers those kids won’t be there tomorrow since we’re going back tomorrow but we will have three teachers tomorrow instead of the two we normally have so I think an extra pair of eyes will be good in case anything happens

Oh I agree, it sucks because the parents don’t do anything and the school doesn’t care because it didn’t happen on school grounds when school is in session

Samuel I get that school is over but there’s just so much that could go wrong afterschool, like you hear about kids that get kidnapped, etc... and they don’t even have it where someone needs to be there to pick the kid up, they can just walk out after school, it doesn’t matter what grade or age they are

My kids teacher has to see the parent before they let them leave, or they walk them to the bus.

We don’t have school buses here but I think the policy where the teacher has to see the parent/guardian/whoever picks the kid up is a good one, just to make sure nothing will happen and there’s also a few cases where one parent or relative wasn’t allowed to pick up a child because of restraining orders, custody, etc... I know because we’ve had a few cases at the program but what’s going to stop that parent or relative from getting that kid afterschool if you just don’t care if a kid walks out or whoever picks up the kid because as soon as school is over they aren’t your responsibility

Oh I agree Samuel, plus I know there’s cases where someone is not allowed to pick up the kid for whatever reason, through the court but if you don’t care what happens to the kids or who picks the kids up afterschool, no one is stopping that person from taking the kid afterschool

Sadly I doubt things will change unless something major happens and they have to change it
