Quote thread: "You bow to no one!"

What quotes did you go around saying for days?

One of mine is "I never saw a wild thing feeling sorry for itself" from G.I. Jane

I love it when he talks to Arwen in Rivendell and they are talking in Elvish. That scene is so romantic to me.

I like it whenever he speaks Elvish ... especially his argument with Legolas in TTowers.

I didn't go around saying this for days, but I found this quote to be fantastic:

"It would seem from even a cursory reading of world history that there is no new horror under the sun, that we will perhaps always have to contend with destructive impulses in ourselves and others. That does not prevent us from making an effort to change, from working to find a better way."

I also drew, "NO BLOOD FOR OIL" on my hand a few times.

On the Introduction to The Two Towers Companion:

"At our best we, like the Fellowship, realize individually and collectively that peaceful coexistence can be achieved only through vigilance and conscious compassion. Compassion for oneself and others, especially for those determined to do us harm. An effort made to identify with others and understand them in order to understand ourselves. To understand that there is no absolute difference between us."

Well obviously I don't go around saying this one, but his line in A Perfect Murder: "Hey Steve, in the meantime should I keep your wife or what?" Best. Line. EVER!

Also love: "Do you want me to stop, Pearl?" from WOTM. Uh, is that a trick question?!?!

Phee I love those. I love the one from APM. Ahahaha. Great. And yes...it must be a trick question. LOL.

Here's a quote about Viggo:

All great artists reveal themselves more in their work than in interviews. Every time Viggo's in front of the camera or picks up a pen or a canvas or a camera, he's opening the door to his heart. This is where he's telling you the secrets of his life...Viggo cannot strike a fake note. I say with absolute experience that if he doesn't believe it, he won't do it.

MA - I love the quotes you posted. He's philosophical, deep and just brilliant.

I love the quote from Elijah saying, "He's mental, but in a good way." and Dennis Hopper saying that he's a *****ing great actor.

You're welcome for the quotes. And yes! He is so very deep and so intelligent that it just dumbfounds me. What he can put into words, that I could never dream of saying, is just fantastic.

And I love the Lij quote.

"You are in a cage right now, Lt. Seek life elsewhere!"

that is from my man - Master Chief. I honestly love him in GI Jane.
