Carlito's Way - Lalin
I know that this was a bit role for Viggo, a long time ago, but it's the one that convinced me of how dynamic and talented he is.
He plays a former small-time mob-type who ended up in a wheelchair, and he looks nothing like I'd ever seen him. In fact, I saw this before I saw most of his work and never made the connection later on because his appearance, mannerisms and character are so very distinct. The guy pulls off a Puerto Rican accent! Anyway, it's yet another example of why Viggo's an amazing actor. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it as an all-round fantastic film. One of my favorite Pacino films! Pacino, Penn, and Mortensen all give excellent, top notch performances. A very underrated film by De Palma that deserves so much more attention. If you haven't seen it, you really should go and rent it.

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid. What does Viggo look like in this movie? I searched and could only find one picture, but I'm not sure if it's from Carlito's Way.

This movie is great

Oh wait. My bad. I just read the article and WTF? Hiphop stars? They're just going to turn it into another stupid "gangster" movie and ruin the entire thing! I was thinking that if they ever decided on who's to play the young Carlos, it should be John Leguizamo. He already did that "Empire" which was eerily (okay, not-so-originally) like "Carlito's Way" anyway.
