DISCLAIMER: I know nothing about medicine, and all of the ailments in this idea are not meant to be factual. THis movie would also take place before Kelso retires, and be the end of Scrubs.

After discovering that Sacred Heart had one of the lowest death rates in the country this year, the hospital is invited to a prestigious medical conference where Dr. Kelso and whomever he considers the finest doctor have been asked to speak. Kelso doesn't take this very seriously, and decides to not even tell the staff. Cox finds out immediately anyways and tells JD, who responds that he ca't worry about that while he is busy juggling being a father and a dad, which has recently become even more difficult now that Kim (who appears in the movie) has decided to move further away.

JD is assigned to a new patient who claims to have temporary paralysis: short spurts in which she is unable to control her body at all, which can last from five minutes to days. JD laughs at this and goes to tell Dr. Cox about it. On their way to see the patient, they suddenly spy nurses and doctors rushing in. JD rushes in and asks whats going on - she appears to be fully paralyzed. her body does not respond to any stimuli. JD goes out for his lunch break, wondering how the patient could have predicted she would become paralyzed. When he returns, she is fine and fucntioning normally. JD, Dr. Cox, Carla, Turk, and Elliot discuss how crazy this is.

Meanwhile, a newspaper tries to interview Dr. Kelso about the low death rate. He milks it,but still refuses to speak at the conference. While snooping around, the reporter finds out about the temporary paralyzed patient and soon the hospital isbeing covered by every major news station. When pressured by the press, Kelso is forced to speak and pick a doctor to speak along with him. Too lazy to really evaluate all the doctors, Kelso says that whoever can solve the paralyzed patient's case will get to speak.

JD and Elliot begin to work together, and JD asks her out.

JD works hard on the case, as does Dr. Cox to no avail. JD soon discovers the patint has a very interesting medical background which could provides clues, and after Dr. Cox calls him lazy for leaving the case behind (his week off was coming up) he decides to fly to her hometown with Turk to find out more.

Throughout all of this, he is trying to fix things with Kim and make her want to stay. They actually get along, laughing together. THey have a moment where they almost kiss, but he tells her about Elliot - that he's really in love with her. HE also tells Elliot and Carla to keep and eye on the patient. Her help with his patient leading to some tender moments between JD and Elliot. While in the patient's hometown, we see JD pick out an engagement ring.

JD talks to the patient's parents (who were too old to leave their house) and he solves the case. (IT was an infection that caused her neverous system to break down blah, blah, blah.) THey tell him that through working together they solve everything, and how much their daughter needs them.

JD returns, and is instantly flown out to the medical conference with Kelso. Elliot (with her private practice) , Turk, and Carla come as well while Cox stays behind to look after patients. Hearing that JD is left, Kim catches a plane to the conference with Sam as she has decided to move.

On the plane, JD writes his and KElso's speeches. He gets a call from Kim after the plane lands, telling him she's bringing Sam. JD flashbacks to what the patient's parents told him. He tells Elliot they need to talk.

Cut to JD walking up the stage, and giving a speech about how being a doctor is all about decisions. Ashe says this, he sees Kim run in holding Sam. We see Elliot in the audience, on the verge of tears. JD tells the audience he got lucky - he's not the finest doctor by any means. He says Dr. Cox is.We see Dr. Cox back at Sacred Heart, saving the life of the patient, who reacted badly to her treatement. JD finishes his speech and steps down. Dr. Kelso walks on stage and announces his retirement. JD walks straight up to a blonde figure - we don't know who it is. JD piulls out his engagement ring and kneels: "Will you marry me?"

We see Dr. Cox getting mad. The patient has died. JD returns the next day and sees Dr. Cox. They talk a lot about the patient, and Dr. Cox says "Maybe it's time to pass the torch, newbie. Ahem - JD."

JD smiles and stands up. He walks towards the exit to Sacred heart, taking a blonde with him. THe walk ou the door and he kisses her. He pulls away.

It's Kim. Carla, Turk, and Elliot walk up to them and they all walk out together. JD excuses himself and talks to Elliot. "We sucked as a couple anyway," says Elliot. JD laughs and the two keep walking. THe camera pans out and fades to the credits.

It's Elliot. Carla and Turk walk up to them and they all walk out together. JD talks about how he's going to have Sam in the summer - because honestly, being a doctor takes up all his time. He sa ys for now he'll have to settle for Elliot, and kisses her again. THe camera pans out and fades to the credits.

While I definitely love this idea (JD and Elliot story line is awesome, by the way), this would be considered a Fan Fiction. We already have a thread for that, so you can post this there.
