I agree with you

to me they reached the peak of their character development in season 6

it would’ve been nice to have ended the show at that point in their character development

a Barchie fan and I have been re-watching season 6 since thanksgiving time and it really is my favorite season for both Betty and Archie as characters

glad you agree about the song

Thanks for agreeing with me.

Yep, season 6 was their peak, so they deserved a resolution, not what they ended up getting.

It's mine too. Well, that and season 5.

Yep.

OMG, that's a great New Year's pic! When a girl dresses in a skirt like that, you kiss her.

You’re welcome

Yes I knew you would enjoy Betty in that dress

Archie definitely wouldn’t be able to resist

Re-watching My Girl last night the first kiss scene definitely reminded me of Barchie’s childhood first kiss with how sweet and innocent it was

As a guy, I can guarantee that Archie couldn't resist.

Ugh, I don't wanna compare Barchie to My Girl because the ending depresses me, but I get what you mean.

I do wonder if canonically Barchie’s first kiss as kids was on the cheek or actually on the lips cause it was never clarified

will always love how they were each other’s first kiss regardless

yes it is so sad what happened to him

it does makes me happy that at least he got that last very sweet memory of his first kiss though

Seeing this again

Oh the memories

Paleyfest was so good to us that year

They looked so good here together and like a married couple

That's quite an outfit Betty is wearing.

Wasn't it on the lips? I thought it was when I saw them as kids.

So will I.

Yeah, that wasn't the first story I heard about someone dying from anaphylactic shock due to an allergy to bee stings. But yeah, at least he got to kiss her.

Thanks for that photo! They do look good. What's Paleyfest again?

yes it looks really good on her

their childhood kiss was never actually shown on screen

we only got to see Archie proposing to her as a kid

you're welcome

it's a tv festival that they have every year in L.A.

I love this moment so much too where she's touching him with her hand

It does indeed.

It wasn't? That sucks.

We should've gotten to see more.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the vid.

They are cute. Let's remember that he's married and she's got a new boyfriend.

Yeah I wish it could’ve been shown but I get that having kids kiss onscreen isn’t an easy thing to do

But I am very satisfied with the childhood flashbacks we got with them

It would’ve been nice to see more flashbacks in general though

One I would still have liked to see in season 7 would be Betty comforting Archie after losing Fred

They really are

I try to remember that lol

Hey, they had Clark and Chloe kiss as kids on Smallville.

Yeah, I liked what we got as well. It would've been nice to see more, though.

Yeah, I'd have really liked to have seen that. Especially since Betty had been working with Fred and Archie to restore that hot rod for a long time.

Their chemistry is undeniable. But yeah, they're with other people.

Lucky you

Yeah it seems onscreen childhood kisses are more common in movies at least from what I’ve seen

Glad we agree

Yes I loved whenever they bonded over Fred after he passed

That scene where they’re fixing the car is one of my favorites

So underrated

Was re-watching How to Train Your Dragon last night and still love it

Made me want to re-watch the 3rd movie

Anyways I was reminded again of this scene at the end of the 3rd movie and how before season 7 aired I wanted Barchie to have a similar ending like this married with their 2 kids - a boy and a girl

Minus the dragons of course lol

But definitely Barchie with their doggie bingo

Lucky me? Well, Clark and Chloe never got a chance because the show kept dragging out the damn Clark/Lana storyline, even though everyone knew he ends up with Lois.

Maybe. I've seen some childhood kisses on TV, but not as much now as twenty or thirty years ago. People are really uptight today.

Yep.

Yep, that scene with the car in the garage. Never start a storyline you're not willing to finish.

Awww, that's a cute scene! Thanks!

Oh, really? Yeah, I can see that. Too bad Bingo wouldn't still be alive by that point.

I was trying to think of memorable childhood tv kisses earlier and couldn’t really think of anything at first but then I remembered Winnie and Kevin’s on The Wonder Years

I’ve only seen clips but the show is still on my watch list

Yeah seems like it’s with older shows mostly

You’re welcome

Yes it’s cute how the dragon has his own little family too

It really is a beautiful scene

I actually cried watching the last scene with them and their kids riding on the dragons when I saw it the first time watching it in theaters because I thought it was so beautiful and it made me happy and emotional

All I can say is thank god for fanfiction

I think Bingo would be around for at least some of Barchie’s kid(s)’ childhoods

The fanfic I’m reading included this scene with Bingo

Very cute

Quote:
Freddie continued to transform from a baby into a toddler into a little boy. With a full head of blonde hair, deep brown eyes, and a tiny, thin, lanky frame, he was the happiest two year old anyone had ever met. He was a shy and emotionally sensitive kid, but deeply curious, charming, and tender-hearted. At two years (and a few months) old, he had never known a life other than his little one in Riverdale and yet was completely thrilled by it. He loved riding in the back of his Archie’s truck and riding in the Jalopy on family drives. He loved Pop’s milkshakes (his favorite was vanilla, another victory for Betty) and the smiley face pancakes Archie made on Saturday mornings. He loved getting to visit his dad at work, see cranes and dump trucks, and wear a little hard hat. He loved his dog Bingo, who followed him around and protected him with his life.

Betty looked over to see Freddie, who was lying on the rug giggling as Bingo licked his neck.
