"Chapter Ninety-Six: Welcome To Rivervale"

WELCOME TO RIVERVALE — Following the explosion that ended Season Five, a new day dawns in the town of RiverVALE, where everything is as it should be. Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Reggie (Charles Melton) are now the town’s power couple, while Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) move in together. But with Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) demanding a return to the “old ways,” this serenity will surely not last. And how could Archie (KJ Apa) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) possibly have survived? Vanessa Morgan, Casey Cott, Drew Ray Tanner and Madchen Amick also star. The episode was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and directed by Gabriel Correa (#601). Original airdate 11/16/2021.

"Chapter Ninety-Seven: Ghost Stories"
Airdate: November 23, 2021

THE HAUNTING OF RIVERVALE — A vengeful spirit from folklore, la Llorona arrives in Rivervale to terrorize the rainy town. Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) find themselves in the specter's path and must seek Cheryl’s (Madelaine Petsch) help to protect the children in Rivervale, including Baby Anthony. Meanwhile, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook), along with Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Reggie (Charles Melton), experience their own hauntings that begin to put a strain on their respective relationships. Okay, this show has gone full on horror movie now.

Do you think that Betty's unborn child was targeted by La Llorona because of what happened to Archie?

Oh, and Veronica has some nerve getting upset about that woman who helped Reggie. Didn't Archie have an "inappropriate relationship" with a teacher, Ms. Grundy?

Yep.

I think that Betty losing her baby could be that maybe in reality she had a miscarriage, and that's what could be happening to Betty/Archie.

Well, maybe that's a sign that Veronica/Reggie won't last long.

Really the only couple so far they have been showing positively in this five episode event is Jabitha.

Well, I thought it was ok.

Now, as for next week's episode which is the 100th episode/part five, I'm definitely looking forward to that one.

It was okay.

The Sabrina scenes were good.

So I'm guessing that Nana Rose reborn in Cheryl's body is limited to Rivervale, and won't be in Riverdale?

Yep, but instead of his new book Rivervale could actually be his coma dream.

They did in S2 he just didn't meet Sabrina because she wasn't casted yet, and at that time was when her show was going to be on the CW.

Well, if she returns maybe she will. I mean if Rivervale turns out to be like Jughead's coma dream then the Sabrina in part four would be one he dreamed-up so maybe the real one will show up later in Riverdale at Pop's.

Of course we'll see if Kiernan gets her wish of having Sabrina date Jughead.

When was he in the garage when the bomb went off?

And even if he heard it go off, why would he get hit by debris? By the time he made it to Archie's house the damage would already have been done.

But Archie is already dead in Rivervale and Jughead sold his soul to the Devil.

But again, why would Rivervale begin with Archie waking up next to Betty and telling her about Riverdale, and why is he the only one to remember Riverdale?

No, no love square.

Because Reggie has nothing to do with Archie, Betty, or Jughead, and Varchie has already played itself out. A lot of fans and critics are saying that Riverdale should stick with Barchie.

Then that would be the most lucid dream in history.

Kind of like Dallas season 9 turning out to all be a dream that Pamela was having.

But they did that to bring Bobby Ewing back from the dead.

Yeah, but Jughead could've showed up in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in a cameo.

I hope she does.

I wouldn't mind if Sabrina dated Jughead.

I already answered that. Well, after they found the bomb, the camera cut to Hiram counting down for the bomb to go off, then after it did he drove off, and at the end was a far away wide-shot of the house on fire.

So it's possible when the camera showed all that could be when Jughead rushed inside to tried to saved them only to end up in a coma.

Maybe to trick fans into thinking it's Archie's coma dream, only to give a last-minute reveal twist that it's actually Jughead's.

Of course I think one of the most favorite parts would be Jughead dreamed of Sabrina, and Sabrina saving the day which the only other person he dreamed of doing that was Tabitha.

True but Jughead's time was booked. I mean in S2 he had to faced Hiram, then in S3 he had to faced the Gargoyle King, and Gladys, then in S4 he had to faced DuPont&co, and the Auteur.

Glad to hear but I think Tabitha would mind.

I am but knowing this show they'll eventually find a way to mess up Jabitha just like they did with everything else.

So while I'm all in on Jabitha, I'm also all in on Jughead/Sabrina.
