Another meh ep. Possibly my least favorite so far. I don’t feel like dropping the show (yet) because I still want to see what happens to all these characters but I wish the eps were at least mildly entertaining.

Likes:
- Toni. She’s got the looks, the brains and the attitude. Sure, she’s underdeveloped and cliché. But she’s a side character on a stereotypical American teen drama, so... At least I dig the kind of cliché that she is. And the actress doesn’t make me cringe (which is an accomplishment on a stereotypical American teen drama).
- Alice. Awesome one liners, as always. Also, good transformation (back into) her Serpent persona.

Mehs and dislikes:
- Cheryl/Josie. Congrats on turning me off a ship I was rooting for. Their scenes are downright uncomfortable. It’s good that they are at least intentionally uncomfortable but this is not what I wanted for this ship at all.
- Cheryl. She’s generally one of the most entertaining parts of the show for me (even when she is barely there) but she did nothing for me this ep. Yelling at a janitor for his male privilege (nevermind the privileges being filthy rich like she is gives you) and being pointlessly mean to FP (both in part to cope with her own traumas, frustrations and insecurities) does seem very in character though.
- Speaking of my faves going meh, Jughead. I’ve barely been interested in him for half a season now. They just keep giving him boring sls.
- Jughead’s hair. It deserves a special mention because it was terrible. Keep your beanie (or helmet) on please.
- FP. Another character I used to like but don’t care about this season.
- Romance. I don’t dislike Bughead and Varchie per se but I don’t really care about them either. I’m indifferent to Barchie too, so the hints towards them are equally "meh, whatever" for me.
- The mystery. Another aspect of the show I couldn't care less about.
- Archie’s voice. It’s beyond terrible, at least to my ears. Beronica duet would have been better given their voices don’t grate.
- Betty’s characterization this ep. Wanting to join the Serpents? Seems not only dumb but ooc dumb. Much like Jughead's behavior last ep. Strip thing? Don’t even get me started. So much cringe. Having Toni say it’s misogynistic doesn’t get you off hook for writing it in in the first place.

I'll just say that situation between Jughead & Betty is melodramatic. I'm unsure why they were a couple to begin with, unless it was just to change something else from the comics.

Not surprised by what Cheryl did. It's just unnecessary.

I'm incredibly uncomfortable with whoever decided to write the scene of a high school girl stripping in public in front of a bunch of adults and I don't think anyone even tried to stop her? Not positive I had to change the channel for a minute there.

Cheryl need to get help asap. Joise should sleep with one eye open. She definitely felt uncomfortable with Cheryl in the locker room.

Yay, FP is out of jail. I liked that he's not dribking/ staying away from the Serpents. I like his scenes with Jug. He wants better thinks for his son.

I think Jug should have told FP about Penny. That chick isn't going anywhere. I can't believe she threatened Betty and FP.

Love the loyalty that Toni Topaz has for Jug. I like their friendship a lot.

There's history between Alice and FP. I can't wait to see more of their past explored. I'm thinking these two dated. The scene in Pop's gave us some insight.

Loved the talk that Ronnie had with her parents about Archie's confession.

Loved Archie scenes with Fred about his relationship with Veronica. He told Fred just how deep his feelings for Ronnie goes. He likes the way Ronnie makes him feel. Kudos for Fred for giving Archie sound advice.

So many amazing Archie and Veronica scenes in this episode. They really do have intense chemistry. I can't believe Archie told her that he loved her. It was so open and honest. He didn't hold back. I do believe Veronica loves him also, but she's afraid to admit it to herself. I mean she doesn't have the best role models in her parents. As much as I love Archie and Veronica, I'm glad they are hitting a little snag in their relationship. It makes it more interesting.

It was about time Jug put Tall Boy in his place.

Liked Archie and Veronica tracking down a lead. They make an awesome team. I want more of those moments.

Wow, Alice remembers her Southside ways lol. Her outfit was hot.

Betty looked out of her element on stage.

FP is back and Jug of out. FP is one smart man. He knew about Penny.

Alice definitely have unresolved feelings for FP.

That last scene with FP and Jug just about broke me.

I guess Archie and Veronica aren't the only couple hitting a speed bump in their relationship. Jug and Betty's relationship is feeling the the heat.

And I see we are heading towards a thing between Archie and Betty now that both couples are done for now.

My favorite part of this episode was FP, FP/Jughead, Alice & FP/Alice. They made the episode for me as a lot of stuff was weird last night.

I really disliked Betty stripping in front of the Serpents. I'm glad Jughead wasn't a fan either.

Cheryl/Josie.. If they are going to put meaningless scenes like that just don't write them at all. They just really bored me. I'm already over them and I was excited at first.

Now I need Cheryl/Toni asap.

My heart broke for Archie but I understand Veronica for not wanting to say "I love you" back. Their story isn't over yet. And I liked that they both talked about it to their parents. Great scenes.

Alice. GOSH. I love this woman. All her scenes were perfect. All her lines. I loved that she went to FP's party dressed all Serpent-ish. HOT.

FP. Well, I love FP and I'm ready for some FP/Alice. "Well then leave him." YES. And his scene at the party with Jug, UGH.

That last scene though.. Are they trying to make Betty/Archie a thing now..?

Wow. I have whiplash. Everybody imploded. I just hope this paves the way for FP and Alice.
Was that ending meaning that Betty and Archie are going to start up now? That is so super quick. I didn't mind Betty trying to be a serpent. I am irritated that nobody ever told her that Toni/Jug had a night together. I think that Jughead was being a jerk. I never really pegged Veronica as having a problem expressing her feelings. I felt that was weird.

Is Cheryl crazy or not? Pick a side of the fence writers. I want Cheryl and Toni. I am not feeling Cheryl and Josie at all. I need more Reggie scenes in my life.

The episode was okay but a little on the slow side until near the ending.

Archie/Ronnie in the beginning were so damn adorable. All their make outs were so hot!!! And Jughead called them Varchie! WHY COULDN’T VERONICA SAY I LOVE YOU BACK? I mean, she’s the one that called them soulmates in season 1? Just seems a bit OOC to me. But it was sooooo cute how Archie said it. KJ looked so cute in his sweater. BABY WAS SO SWEET when he said he wanted to talk about what he said. UGH my Varchie heart is hurtinggggg. I don’t necessarily think it’s too soon for him to say it. But even so they were making such a big deal out of it. If she wasn’t ready to say it he needed to accept that and move on. I did like seeing the two working together. It’s pretty obvious that Veronica is just scared to let herself get involved with someone. Her saying that her parents never say “I love you” explains a lot. Its pretty obvious she just hasn’t seen that genuine love in a strong relationship and this is the first time she’s really experienced this. Their song was really pretty too. Archie was being very passive aggressive towards Veronica at the club which was irritating. He needs to be more patient.

I liked Fred’s advice, I wish he had taken it. But Fred needs more to do. He’s been reduced to a background character this season.

Jughead calling tall boy a little bitch was hilarious. I like this stronger Jughead. Toni standing up for him was great. I am on board for a friendship there, just not a romance. Side question, how is Toni a bartender if she’s in highschool?

Not sure what to think about Cheryl tbh. Like always her character is SO wishy washy. I do love the interaction between her and Josie but this whole stalker vibe she is giving off is just too much. And I understood her rudeness towards FP after his involvement with her brother. I can see why had such a vendetta against men after what happened with Nick. But girl needs some help and I hope they go that route.

Betty’s devotion to Jughead was adorable. I loved the little face hold and her trying to help FP. Betty wanting to be a serpent was a bit OOC imo but I think it shows that she is really in love with Jughead. The serpent dance is ridiculous though, like Toni said. Betty stripping and dancing on stage was just WEIRD. Like, there are adults in the club watching, how is that okay? I wish someone had tried to stop her.... Doesn’t that count as like child pornography or something? lmao. Definitely the dumbest storyline this season.

FP IS OUT OF JAIL. YAY. omg THE FP AND ALICE INTERACTION WAS EVERYTHING. Her sexually frustrated comment was AMAZING. I loved that scene. Them having lunch together was great. Alice as so rude to him but I like that interaction and banter. Good for FP standing up to her. I LOVED seeing the FP/Jughead interaction. They are so damn cute. Fp working at pops was hilarious though. I think him deciding to stay on as a serpent was to protect Jughead for sure. Alice showing up in her serpent gear was amazing. She is such a nut job. I dont get why she would agree to go there in the first place.

I knew the janitor had to be involved in the story somehow. I liked how they brought him into it.

I’m assuming that BJ and VA broke up but it wasn’t made 100% clear? I mean, it was heavily implied but the words weren’t said specifically. Jughead breaking up with Betty specifically didn’t make any sense to me. I will at least enjoy the angst after this.

The Betty/Archie look at the end was THE DUMBEST THING I'VE SEE. Honestly I would have just taken it to be a friend look because they had both been hurt. But the dumb voiceover was definitely implying something more going on, which is really stupid because it literally came out of NOWHERE. Betty going back to look at Archie? HUH?!??! And fans of this couple should not be happy. I wouldn’t be. They are both going to be rebounding if something happens between them.

I've had no feelings so far when it's come to the other ships so i'm hyped for some Barchie cause I'm trash for it!

I loved pretty much everything about this ep, although of course I'm not a Veronica/Archie shipper, so the scenes with them were kind of meh to me.. but I did feel bad for Archie when he said to her that he loved her and she couldn't say that to him. He seemed to really get his heart broken.

I also didn't care much for Betty dancing on the pole. The reason is because she not only did that at the party that Jughead wanted to throw for FP, but also because of Jughead's face when he saw her up there. I get that she wants to be a part of his world, and that's cute, but I feel like she also needs to understand that he doesn't want to drag her into all that.

Obviously my fav part of the ep was Alice and FP/Alice. ALICE IN HER SERPENT OUTFIT Loved it. And I understand why she went there.. I mean she seems to be kind of embracing her old serpent side a bit now that everyone knows. The line of FP's of "Then just leave him... at home." really stuck with me, because it feels like he wants to get back with Alice, which of course I'd love.

I'm all over FP/Alice too! Alice is probably my favourite character of the entire show to be honest and their chemistry is off the charts, loved their interactions so far. There's a fair amount of fanvids out there which is what got me really into them.

Anyone else looking forward to Barchie or is that just me?

I was all for Cheryl/Toni but now they've gone down this super weird path with Cheryl!
