Not being married & having their own families to take care of, they probably have a lot of free-time (when they're not filming/working), so they just decide to hang-out together.

That's my guess, too, although I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little more to it...

@Sarah: if you like you can see my dog in action on YouTube (I uploaded a little video for my friends and family the other day...) and get an idea of her energy. Our walks are 75% exactly like that. And she's not really tired after we get home.
