It didn't really erased what LP did to her though Pointing out that Brooke wasn't exactly loyal either doesn't mean the show was trying to act LP's cheating was okay.

I got the impression that they wanted LP to be redeemed with Brooke's Nathan betrayal, especially with everything Peyton screamed to her in the yard about "you cut me out because I was honest with you" but eh anyway, I know exactly what they wanted from the BN plot (it furthered other relationships and brought an immediate end to BN itself) so it's just something I've gotta endure even though it annoys me. BN could have been something used in the present day, rather than something problematic from the past. But again, the writers didn't care enough about those two characters so it was never gonna happen.

Don't think that was the intent at all, since it's not like the show ever acted like LP didn't screw Brooke over.

Nope, they didn't, if anything Brooke was made out to be a saint a lot of the time and all of the horrible things she did were downplayed or ignored.

I'm not over them putting Naley back together in season 3, that was so forced and not in keeping with the progress they had individually made the previous season. Plus it put a nail in any chance he had with Brooke going forward
