Hmm there might be some truth to it. I always felt that Mark/Lexie got some what subpar writing. But it could be worse. No couple will last on this show. Though, I found out lately that Alex ended up with Izzie, off-screen!

No wonder. It is really bad. Image what would happened if only Peyton left at the end of S6, and not Lucas. They marry normally in 6x23 and all of sudden you find out at the beginning of S7 that Lucas is there and Peyton is gone, she left him to be with Jake, for whatever reasons. And everything happens off screen. Makes sense, no?
