Yep, makes them think they are untouchable.

Him admitting he knows his behaviour is wrong (before we were aware of his behaviour) -

stlavin95 11-14-2017 06:50 PM

Wow, if you think your behaviour was wrong, maybe you shouldn't have acted that way.

He couldn't even keep his mouth shut but had to hypocritically pat himself on the back for how he wrote fictional women (which he might be under the illusion he did well though oth was ripe with covert misogyny) while knowing full well he harassed real women he worked with. Terrible that these women had to endure him for years. And that the same might be happening to the cast and crew of his current show.

It's great to see that the entire cast supports each other and several writers who worked on the show are showing support too and share their stories of what a toxic environment Mark created for everyone.

Quote:

Gross. Typical of these men to write their abusive selves into their show. Kreisberg did it too. In retrospect, we should have all seen it.
He also wrote himself into the show as the record store owner, the scenes between him and Peyton always seemed inappropriate and just forced.

BlondieLeigh 11-15-2017 03:50 PM

I knew about that  Not surprising at all for someone like him to force things like that.

Appalling that he hasn't been fired. I wish I could be surprised but I'm not.

Seeing all of the male cast and crew support the female cast has been really great to see. ^ Those scenes were definitely pretty forced.

BlondieLeigh 11-15-2017 03:57 PM

Yep. Hearing the accounts of the men trying to protect the women from him are nice to hear, too. It's the least they could have done, but these weren't men that had power in the industry, so them acting, even in the smallest way, when networks and production companies wouldn't means something.

stlavin95 11-15-2017 04:25 PM

From what one of the male writers has said, Mark seemed to promote people up the food chain so they would feel like they owned him. It's pretty bad that E! hasn't commented on it and I'm glad Sophia called them out on it.

BlondieLeigh 11-15-2017 04:41 PM

That's not surprising. And he would have only promoted people that could be manipulated like that.

stlavin95 11-15-2017 04:42 PM

Pretty horrible really.

BlondieLeigh 11-15-2017 04:44 PM

Yep. He had the opportunity to create a system that enabled him to abuse. It's sickening.

stlavin95 11-15-2017 04:47 PM

Very sicking and hopefully he gets what he deserves it in the future.

BlondieLeigh 11-15-2017 04:55 PM

The least he should get is the abrupt end of his career.

stlavin95 11-15-2017 04:58 PM

I really hope it is.
