They were & I really think they could have lasted. They were one of those high school couples that seemed so mature, more like young adults than teenagers

Yes and they truly loved each other! S3 was so perfect until the writers made Jake say Peyton was in love with Lucas

it was so dumb.

I know, that was such a stupid way to end Jake & Peyton, it was just bad writing...they should have just said that Peyton simply got over Jake when he left because she thought she'd never see him again. It still would have sucked, but people would have understood it.

Same, I still would have had issues with it, but it would have been better writing & it would have felt more realistic than - my dad told me to follow my heart so I followed it right to Jake, was happier than I'd been all year, proposed to him then we broke up because I apparently confessed my love for someone else when I was talking in my sleep
