I know the main concept of introducing the character as a whole was for the whole Psycho Derek fiasco, but they missed out on a huge opportunity to explore the real relationship. I thought it was nice for Peyton to have another person in her life, besides Lucas, that she could trust.
Well knowing everything I know now, it seems like another storyline to make Peyton go through some unnecessary torture.

Although season 4 is probably the last season of One Tree Hill I really enjoyed, it is the first time I truly saw that it was becoming very Soap Operaish... and I love Soap Opera's, I mean I mod the board. But OTH was ridiculous with it.... and this Psycho Derek storyline was really the beginning of crazy sht going that.

Well, Mark did love to Hilarie cry and all I didn't enjoy the change into soap opera either and I hate those type of shows too

I love seeing soap operas on the actual Soaps. Not on the other shows I watch like OTH, so, I didn't care for that direction.

This show literally had Dan almost die in every season finale for the longest time.

I think Dan was actually one of the most compelling characters however once they had him kill Kieth, there was no turning back... although I am one of the few fans who REMEMBER what lead to that........ Dan literally thought that Kieth set the fire and intended to kill him. Which is why Dan never felt any guilt until it was revealed that it wasn't Kieth who set the fire....

So technically it was Deb's and Lucas fault to lead to that big moment in the hallway...
Deb for setting the fire and Lucas for taking Dan out....
