I didn't really either, but at the same time I don't think they anything planned for Peyton at that time romantically.

I thought they were an bit forced tbh and the writers clearly only went back there to try and take advantage of Chad/Sophia's relationship at that point.

I felt season 2 perfectly built their friendship so I guess I understood it more in season 2 than I did persay season 1.

The arguments they were having was AWESOME.

Especially when Lucas said maybe Haley liked Chris more than Nathan... DANG! low blow.

He said that Dan liked Deb more than Karen.

And than of course Lucas said that maybe his wife Haley liked Chris a bit more than him. lol

BOTH WERE WRONG.

Dan loved Karen more and Haley loved Nathan more. lol
