One Tree Hill Music Thread Soundtrack, V1- The Best of OTH (Seasons 1-3) About the Soundtrack: This compilation of songs came about as a result of weeks of voting by the members of this thread. Over 50 nomination lists were submitted and the top 15 songs from each season were selected for the final voting round. Over 100 votes were cast for the top 5 songs for each season. Voters were encouraged to choose the songs they felt best reflected that particular season. The following 15 songs are the end product of this process and along with the show's theme song make up the first volume of the One Tree Hill Music Thread Soundtrack- The Best of OTH (Seasons 1-3). Hunee (Lexi) says: I think these lines describe the cast overall... because they have all gone through displacement but the song as a whole I think really describes what Peyton went through late season 1, early season two and some season three. 2 ~ Rosie Thomas//Death Came By and Got Me And who am I supposed to be? When Peyton finally realizes there is an unresolved conflict that she just pushed away... her feelings for Lucas. This song reminds me of what she's feeling now! 5 ~ Johnny Cash//Hurt I focus on the pain the only thing that's real... what have I become? my sweetest friend everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt belle 1220 (Kelly) says: I think it fits Peyton the best in season 2 when she was experimenting with the drugs and felt that 'everyone leaves.' It can also fit where she is emotionally right now. Her feelings for Lucas are causing her the 'hurt' her best friend and herself in return. And you’ll might think it’s easy being me You just stand still, look pretty. ale tapia says: I personally believe that this song has written "Brooke" all over it, in here is Brooke's situation in season 2. She was getting poorer but she made everyone believe she was alright and she pretended that her life was "perfect" when it wasn't. Underneath it all, she's just a vulnerable girl who wants to love and be loved, who puts up fronts to face everyone that she knows. It was an episode called "Todd Mulcahy, Part 2" and it takes place during a Felicity drawing montage.
I transcribed the lyrics and I've been googling for the past half hour, but I've found nothing...so I was hoping someone might be able to have better luck. Thanks in advance!
