Mr. and Mrs. James Appreciation #1: Because they are so freakin' hilarious!
So, I just started this thread for Haley's parents.. I dunno if its just be.. but my goodnes.. I laughed at everything they said!
Anyone have a catchy name instead of Mr. and Mrs. James? __________________

The mom's name is Lydia and I loved them. I didn't really like the dad that much, mostly because he's kind of a bad actor, but I love her mom. When she yelled out the window that Haley was pregnant, that was funny. I knew Bess Armstrong was playing her, but I'll admit that for a second when Haley walked in and hug that lady - Marion, I think her name was - I was like.... WHAT? Cause on the sides that I've read, they said that was Haley's mom's name. I was very confused for a moment.

Lydia was the mom's name, Marion was her friend.
Yeah for this thread- I had just mentioned that I would totally ship them. They kept me laughing so hard. I hope we get to see much more of them. |

I completely loved them too. They were just absolutely funny! At first, when I saw Haley enter the house and I saw Marion, I was like..'hmmm..Isn't Haley's mother supposed to be white?'..lol. I was just cracking up just watching them together and with Haley and Nathan..

I adore these too! I love their playful teasing, and I think that they have great chemistry with BJL. I loved Haley's annoyed reaction to them never taking anything seriously. What I love most about them is that they actually put their daughter's happiness first, unlike other parents in Tree Hill.

Wow, I loved Haley's parents. They were so cute together. And they provided a major contrast to Nathan's parents. I think it's awesome that they trusted Haley's decision. (And that pregnancy line was hysterical!)

Whew! I was relieved when I saw the show and finally got to see Haley's parents. I always thought they'd be uptight and traditional and overbearing, but instead they're really down to earth. Plus they're just hilarious...well, the mom anyways. Huey Lewis playing the dad just doesn't fit to me...probably because he's not that great of an actor. But the thing I love most about Haley's parents is that they were so cool about her and Nathan getting married. Any supporter of Naley is in my good graces!
