Lucas and Peyton were established in season 1 as the endgame pairing. It's so great looking back with that knowledge. It allows me to get through seasons 2/3 knowing they are endgame and their story was strong enough to pass the test of time. I love the ending we got.

I love the ending we got with them. I like that Chad has said that it had to be Lucas/Peyton in the end after everything they went through.

I knew from the beginning it was them, it WAS the only thing that made season 2/3 bearable. They had this amazing bond, chemistry, etc. Except season 2. I am pretty sure that season 2 was just a characters dream or something.

I love rewatching season 1. Watching them grow over so many years was amazing. Watching everything they triumphed to end up together and have their daughter.

I rewatched the Peyton and Lucas story from the school shooting episode through season 6 recently and one thing that really stood out to me was how much in season 5, Leyton was portrayed as the epic love story of the show. I really miss Leyton.
