He's one of the leads and they're trying too hard to make us think he is dead. Like to a point where a picture from the writers room was shared where his name was missing from the list of characters - a list that had no spoilers on it. Would they really give it away so easily?

It was obvious the list was posted intentionally, if it was accidentally it likely would have had more than just the characters names on it.
