That's because two rising stars, on screen and in the recording studio, paid a visit and turned up the heat. Chad Michael Murray, star of such movies as "Cinderella Story" and "Freaky Friday" stopped by the school. His friend, recording artist Tyler Hilton, performed a concert at the school. The event was the reward for the small girls school for raising 11-thousand dollars in change for Carly's Club at Roswell Park. Radio station Kiss 98.5 held their annual spirit contest with local high schools. In all, 33-thousand dollars was raised. Murray is a native of Clarence. His family still lives here. "I love Buffalo, I love being here," he said. "I haven't been here in summertime in like four years. We have the best summers. It's just great to be home, the people have been absolutely phenomenal." Hilton said Murray filled him in on Buffalo before he arrived. "I told him, man, I'm coming to your town finally. So he showed me around a bit last night and tonight we're going out again" Hilton said. They plan to go to Thursday-at-the-Square, and head out on the town afterwards. As for what the girls at Holy Angels accomplished, Hilton said, "the school's just really committed to making money for this thing. I think that's great, I think they deserve whatever fun we have today." The girls say they were inspired, in part, by freshman student Bridget Bonfante, a cancer survivor. "I love them all, they're doing it for something really good," said Bridget. Don Elick with Carly's Club said the students really out-did themselves. He said the coins raised will go directly to help support the pediatric programs at Roswell Park. Chad Michael Murray added, "these kids should be proud. That's a lot of work." "There's some beautiful young girls here and Tyler's porbably a very happy man right now." The girls were happy, too. When Chad and Tyler arrived, the girls had photos and t-shirts for them to autograph. Two students even wrote a song for them that they performed on-stage in the school gym. That's where Tyler Hilton performed a concert for the screaming girls. It was loud, it was hot, but the girls didn't mind a bit.
