I was one of those people, but I've lost all respect of her 2 seasons ago. That's my problem with Peyton. I'm so tired of all this cheating storylines. It's just the same crap all over again.

She didn't only tell she loves him. She kissed him, started it. Of course Lucas did wrong, because he kissed her back, but it's not like she did nothing. They both took part in what happened.

Uh, it doesn't matter what the intentions of those two were, if it was premeditated or not - they knew what they were doing was wrong [all times that it's happened] and would hurt someone [Brooke, Brooke, Lindsey], yet they did it anyway. Therefore - they suck. Oh noes, but they can't help their feelings! Pfft. So, maybe Carrie has feelings for Nathan, but she's getting nailed to the wall for her advancements, even though she hasn't even actually made any moves on him other than hardcore flirting/skinny dipping. Yes, but Carrie/Nathan aren't an epic love like LP, whatever, doesn't matter to me. Cheating is cheating, and it's unacceptable.

And I lovelovelove that people are forgetting the fact that Brooke [and Sophia!] has been the subject of just as much bashing as Peyton has over the years. Hilarious to me.

I feel you're totally missing the point btw. I'm not saying you have to like her. Hate her all you want, I could care less. I was JUST saying the bashing is def not solely bc of their actions now, it's bc of actions that have made people hate her a while ago.

It's so true. Especially season 3, which is the season she dated Lucas. MANY LP fans sad A LOT of cruel things about her. Brooke and Peyton have boyh been bashed so much, just as much.

It probably feels that way in part because the majority of LP/Peyton fans dont seem to post in here.

There is a mountain of grandstanding that goes on in these threads and the LP fans are perfectly content to just like who the like and post amoungst themselves. They dont have to prove anything to anyone by posting up a storm in here.

They never have been that kind of fanbase, I admire that.

Actions that are the same! That's the point. Peyton has not grown up at all over the course of 6 years, because she is just right back to Lucas Stealing, like she was in S1.

I admit I've hated Peyton since forever but that's because she's just always been badly written, and...she always kisses Lucas when he's with someone else. But I never bash her just for the sake of bashing. She has been acting out of line this season, with Lindsey and now kissing Lucas again! So...I don't see why if a person doesn't support Peyton's actions and the act of cheating can't express that here?

I think we will have to agree to disagree on the character of Peyton. To me her weak spot is Lucas, always has been and always will be. I can't see her as a bad person for that. Or a childish one, or an immature. For the rest I feel she's trying. Many people have mocked she has all these people helping her out and while that is true, she still has ambition and is trying to make her record company work, though struggling.

Anyway, I don't forbid people to give their opinions. I never said that in any post. I was merely giving my thoughts on the bashing and where it may come from. Some people feel now that I'm saying they can express their hate but I NEVER said that.

Lucy - LP fans superior? I did give the link to the Hil thread but that's because people in her treat LP fans like they're inferior and they don't feel comfortable here. Quite the opposite thus.

Someone has to explain that one because I keep reading it and I just don't understand how this simple sentence can justify hurting people? If two adults want to be together, they need to speak up and not destroy someone else in the process. Like maybe Lucas telling Lindsay he needs time to think about things? Kissing someone else when you are in a relationship doesn't show that you are a weak person but it does show how selfish you are.

I think the biggest problem with L/P is that it is the third time Peyton has come in one way or another between Lucas and someone else. If she wasn't around, Lucas wouldn't be confused or unsure about how he feels. Lucas didn't seem unhappy with Brooke and he sure didn't feel unhappy at first with Lindsay. Now it is all about the angst and Peyton.

If you want to reference Big and Carrie well it sucked the way they treated the good people with them (his wife and Aidan). I said the same thing back in the days... If Carrie and Big wanted to be together, they should have been adults about it and break up with their significant others before getting into bed. Temptation can be hard but there comes a point where you make a choice and sometimes it is the wrong one that has impact on other people.

I have no problem if L/P want to be together and live their angst and in the past but they do not have to hurt other people in the process and Mark sure doesn't have to assassinate Brooke even more.
