So I was wrong about us probably not getting anything this week!
 Stephanie: And then we also were very hesitant to pair you guys with each other. Which, I think, that’s like a really, that’s like a ‘what if’ parallel universe of like, what if Summer and Ryan got together? Rachel: But It’s funny to hear you, you know, having those moments of, like, ‘hmm, Seth and Marissa, Ryan and Summer’ – I feel like Josh has said if we could go back and watch, like, Ryan and Summer, like, he’s said that, he was probably just messing with me, but- Stephanie: Well, I mean, it was probably the right decision at the time, but it was really something – I don’t know how the audience would have felt about that…. (about Ryan on the construction site) Rachel: He looked good. Let me tell you, I said this when we were talking about the episode, I was like, ‘this is the first time where I’m, like, watching it and I find myself very attracted to Ben’. Stephanie: It was like the longer hair. Rachel: Yeah, the scruffy, unkempt, yeah, I was like ‘mm-hmm, working for you.’ __________________

Love to hear them talk about the possibility of Ryan & Summer, & how maybe they should have done it, even though Stephanie then seemed to go the other way. I feel like people are less and less interested in watching couples together just because it started out with them, & want a good story instead. Especially casual fans, the show didn't just lose ratings because it was put into more difficult timeslots, it was because the writing was going downhill...

Yeah, writers need to stop thinking that it's just about ships to keep people happy, it needs to be the writing. Yes, the more vocal ships will have a tantrum online when things don't go their way, but that's not what's going to lose you viewers - thinking that keeping the same ships around & sticking them in the same storyline over & over will
