Aw, sometimes I wish you read fanfiction because what you said reminds me of a one chapter story I wrote last year where they help each other grieve over Marissa's death.

And I'm almost finished with a new Ryan/Summer story where they're both 27 with a kid and it's based on the song "For the First Time" by The Script. In it, Ryan never lived with the Cohens (he never even met the Cohens) so Seth and Marissa are not factors.

That sounds like a great story! I think it's interesting how you've set it past their high school/college years. You can deal with more serious problems and skip the humdrum of jealous ex-boyfriends and that tiresome "high-school" melodrama.

You never know. You may end up obsessed with fanfiction like me. I thought I'd HATE it the first time someone sent me a fanfic and now years later, I've not only read hundreds of fanfics but I write them too!

If they are well written, you get really into it and in my opinion you can really picture the characters on the show--you can picture, for example, Ben and Rachel's mannerisms. And since Ryan/Summer didn't happen on the show, fanfiction is a good way to still "watch" a storyline with them unfold and it's all up to the imagination.

Aw, you're sweet! It's almost done. I haven't posted any of it online yet, but if you'd like to give it a try when I post the first chapter, I can send it to you.

Aw, that's sweet of you!

Well, this is the first Ryan/Summer story I ever wrote and it's just a friendship story. They commiserate over the death of Marissa.

It's just one "missing scene" from S4. I guess you can think of it that way. I'm a little insecure about it because it was my first time writing them and also I wrote it before I shipped them as a couple. I think I'm a bit more confident writing them now than I was then, but hopefully you'll still enjoy this little piece of fiction I wrote last year:

Theresa, I read your Ryan/Summer fic! It was adorable! I felt like you portrayed both of them really accurately. I can totally picture Summer saying all of that stuff and I loved the descriptions, especially of Ryan's state of mind.
