Sounds like they had to re-work the script because Kaley had a horse accident this weekend and broke her leg :( they said she won't be at the taping this week and next week they are on hiatus - then they are going to play it by ear. Poor Kaley. Hope she gets better soon.

ETA - I sent a message to the woman I met at the third taping to see if she remembered the discussion about LP's relationship from the premiere, and she says she thinks she does... So maybe it wasn't cut after all, and I just blocked it out? I really don't know now. It's hard to separate my memory from the taping from my memory of the edited episode.

Do we know if Penny will be back next episode? I wonder if they'll write the broken leg into the show, or if they'll shoot around it, like some shows do with pregnant actresses when it doesn't fit into the storyline.

Not sure. It probably depends on the seriousness of her leg injury. Hopefully she will be able to get back to the studio in the next week or two to film episode 6 and there on.

I feel like they're going to have to write it in somehow. If she's still in the hospital four days after the accident, then she's not going to be back on her feet in two weeks. I barely chipped a bone in my foot and I haven't been allowed to walk for a month. I just wonder how they're going to do it. We can't just always see Penny sitting down. We could never see her at the Cheesecake Factory. It'll have to be written in somehow.

I think you're right. Best case scenario she has a cast for 5-6 weeks, which would be at least 2 tapings (episodes 6 & 7) after the episode that she was written out of. We'll get some sort of backstory on this injury. Kind of hoping one of the guys moves in to take care of her for awhile. Sheldon is the logical choice for care-giver, given the history of those two taking care of each other when the other is sick or injured.

I just got back from tonight's taping. It was the longest one yet - lasted until 11:15.

I have to be up tomorrow morning by 6, so I won't be posting my taping report until at least noon tomorrow. I'm gonna try to quickly type notes of what I remember for myself tonight, then tomorrow I'll organize it.

Just a one quick note for now - before it started they showed us the season four premiere, and the awkward LP scene has definitely been cut.
