Lucifer S&S #1: The devil's left Hell to take a vacation in Los Angeles.
 SPOILERS & SPECULATION premiering Monday, January 25, 2016 at 9PM on FOX LUCIFER, the new drama starring Tom Ellis (“Merlin”), premieres Monday, Jan. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), after the time period premiere of THE X-FILES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Based upon the characters from DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, the series tells the story of LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR (Ellis), the Lord of Hell, who has abandoned his throne and retired to L.A. When he is introduced to LAPD homicide detective CHLOE DECKER (Lauren German, “Chicago Fire”), LUCIFER becomes intrigued by her compassion for humanity, which causes a struggle between his temptation toward the side of Good and his original calling toward Evil. Didn't care for the trailer but I saw the pilot and it was pretty watchable. Hope its better than Gotham.

Honestly, this show looks a little too cliche (which is disappointing considering the source material) but I'm a fan of Tom, D.B, and Lesley-Ann so I'll give it a chance.

My fear about the show is that it will turn into your typical "by-the-books-police-officer meets insane genius" police procedural.
I have to say though that I liked the casting. __________________
One must never place a loaded rifle on the stage if it isn't going to go off. It's wrong to make promises you don't mean to keep. |
