If the hat was owned by a good sorcerer, why would it kill magic users? I think it just traps them in there and the owner can use the hat. Rumple wants this hat but I think for different reasons. He can put the dagger in the hat, which will rid him of a threat but he also has a magical weapon to use if needed, so there was no murder, no accomplice to a murder.

I am loving that there is so much focus on Emma. I get that it is frustrating if someone is not heavily invested in her character. I felt that way in season 2B when everything was focused on Regina. But I think if everyone hangs in there it will balance out again amongst the core characters (Snow, Charming, Emma, Rumple, Regina and Hook). I do think poor Belle will always be slighted.

Personally, I don't believe the Apprentice is dead, only drawn into the magical hat, and trapped there. After all, The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a classic Disney character, and while he's obviously not Mickey Mouse, I would be very surprised that the writers would kill him.

Which would mean that at least Killian isn't a (forced) accomplice to murder. And I want him to come clean with Emma sooner, rather than later. I love Killian's character, and very much want him to stay redeemed, and with Emma.

It would be nice if the plot would develop in such a way as to show Killian and Rumple burying the hatchet (and not in each other!) in order to work together to undo Rumple's scheme, perhaps to save Belle or Emma (or both ladies) from the hat, or some other foe. That would be a very heart-warming plot twist, and we could then move past either of these men reverting to inner darkness. Let them both stay redeemed and with their true loves. I would much prefer to see these men fighting the good fight to help others, against whatever new "big bads" are introduced into the plot.

Adam said that "Smash the Mirror" is based on the song by The Who ...

The song is from the rock opera Tommy and during that song when they smash the mirrow Tommy's "curse" is broken and all his memories come back. I'm guessing Emma and Elsa will remember their interactions with the Snow Queen at that point ...

I am hoping that's true

I don't remember any other season lacking balance as much as this one is, but I promised myself I wouldn't be complaining and I wasn't. I was just pointing out how things are, and how I believe they will still be in season 4B. I do, however believe Rumple and Snow will be more proeminent as the season goes by, but Regina won't. Her arc for the entire season is the book author and that's it.

At least I hope they will stop cutting her scenes with Snow. I was looking forward to those. In fact, at this point, they are the only thing I have to look forward to...

It is great if it is not murder but they still kidnapped and imprisoned an old man who was not an active threat at the time.

And Regina is very wrong to have kept Sidney still in the asylum and freed him just to imprison him again in the mirror. He was one of her staunchest allies.

That's not her only arc, Regina is looking for the Snow Queen in this week's episode so I think she will have lots to do with each storyline.

Plus their bringing Maleficent and I do believe Mal has beef with Regina. Emma is going to get suspicious of Hook spending a lot of time with Gold and Hook is not good at lying on the spot so it will reveal itself. Hook is better at lying when he has time to rehearse imo

I think this is what is bothering me most. I like it when there is balance for all the characters and it is so evident that it's not. so far we see Rumple for instance doign all these awful things but no real background or balance to his story. they get deleted.

Not much for Snowing, or Regina really. I dont mind if a character has focus but before they could use the other characters to prpell that focus. Now there's no balance, and well I'll stop

They made Michael Socha a regular because of the Maleficent arc. If Maleficent arc was about Regina, they wouldn't have to hire a character that is not connected to her at all.

There hasn't been many reports of Lana filming. She has had a LOT of free time, and that means that she doesn't really have much to do right now.

Well as I said I thought the second half of season 2 was very unbalanced in favor of Regina. She had almost every other episode about her. Snow was in the flashbacks of 3.20 but mostly she just moped in bed in present time. Rumple wanted to date Lacey and Charming helped him while Emma spied on Tamara. And there was Charming wanting to go home. It was very lopsided towards Regina and the source of my Regina apathy (which is why I wouldn't blame someone else becoming apathetic on Emma or Hook this season).

But I agree that the show is at its best when balanced.

Well in s2 they made Ruby regular and she wasent related to R sl except her suspicion with Archie. In s3 MRj became a regular and he basically had no big significant scenes with her. Regina still had a big arc in those seasons
