No I think if Nathan feels Dan is a changed man it might make Lucas think. I know Lucas is bitter and cold with him now but it was the same in S2 and in S4 after Dan choked Lucas in S3. As much as Lucas says that he's letting Dan go in the end Lucas has never let his Dan issues go. Its so bad that he thinks that Peyton didn't love him enough to marry him.

But I don't think Lucas' heart will ever 'warm up' for Dan again up 'till the point that he cares. Dan killed the man who Lucas was raised by. So yes, he has Dan issues def but I don't think he'll let go of that coldness and bitterness. Making Dan kill Keith was a huge mistake that ruined the possibility of a real father-son bond between Lucas and Dan forever. Instead Lucas will despise him forever.
