MTV announced July 13 the pick-up of a second season of its critically acclaimed hit series “Teen Wolf.” The sophomore season of MTV’s young, sexy reinvention of the classic werewolf tale will return with 12 all new one-hour episodes in 2012. more
"Teen Wolf": Season 2 is racier and more violent, so you can look forward to plenty of gratuitous shirtlessness and lots of gore. You can also look forward to the coach ordering the entire lacrosse team to head out into the woods in search of a naked, crazy teenage girl. (Hey, if anyone can find a missing naked teenage girl, it's a teenage boy. Right?) source
While Tyler Posey thinks that the Scott and Allison matching is a romance akin to Romeo and Juliet, Colton promises Jackson’s going to “make things very, very complicated” between the two lovebirds. more
He promises that we will learn the meaning of Derek's tattoo, we will learn more about the mysterious vet from season one, and we will see a female werewolf. He won't say who, but said the biggest challenge was deciding on a look for the she-wolf, to find a balance between sexy and fierce. more
Yet there still a question about Jackson’s supernatural status. According to Zap2It, there will be a “surprising” twist when it comes to Jackson’s family and how that affects both him and Derek. more
If you were expecting to find out what Lydia is within the first couple of episodes... don't hold your breath. The mystery behind Lydia's bizarre transformation will be a major plot point for the first part of the season. more
“They come with vengeance,” Eaddy Mays, the actress behind Alison’s stone-faced and terrifying mother, said of her character’s in-laws. “Last season was a lot of male, manly hunters, but this season it’s a really nice switch,” she teased. “Jeff Davis wrote a really beautiful line, my husband says to Alison: ‘the men are warriors, the women are leaders.’” more
As much as we loved Holland’s character Lydia last season, fans can definitely expect a change from her! “I like that she has this mental, not just breakdown but breakout this season. I think that she is a little more humanized,” Holland said. “Last season she was really big and cartoony and always on this plastic shell. This season she’s a little more real I think.” more
"Teen Wolf" currently films in Georgia but will relocate to produce a minimum of 24 episodes in California this fall, said the California Film Commission. MTV actually received approval for a tax credit last year but didn't want to move the show in midseason. It was approved for a credit of $10.4 million. more
Is Jackson a wolf? One of the major cliffhangers involved Derek about to take a bite out of our fave, Jackson -- but we can't be sure whether he'll be turned into a werewolf or killed. We're guessing that he wolfs out, since Davis says that they're not done exploring his issues quite yet. "It's the idea of a young man who has never met his parents, and specifically his father, so it's abandonment issues that drive Jackson's personality," Davis tells us. "It's basically the idea of impressing parents who are never even there, making people love you who aren't there, who you've never even met. We're going to delve more into Jackson's family and his history next season." more
“Stiles, at first, is obsessed with Lydia, but there’s a new character who steps in the middle of that,” Jeff explains. “You’ll see who it turns out to be.” more
Holland: Lydia's journey is more piece by piece – it's a long arc from sanity to whatever she transforms into. It's going to be interesting to see what happens over her arc, because they draw it out over 12 episodes. You'll see more emotion with Lydia than you did last year. I spend most of the season alone, but people come in and out of her life ... then you start to wonder what's going on with her sanity. Are these experiences real? How with it is she? That carries on for the whole season. I'm mostly excited for all the stuff I can’t talk about [laughs]. more
Don’t cry for Lunsford just yet, though, because as “just a human” Matt, he may actually have a chance with Allison. After all, she has to hide her relationship with Scott (Tyler Posey) because her family is literally out for his blood. Matt, on the other hand, is a seemingly nice, normal kid who could provide a stable alternative. more
"Derek isn't usually the best choice to look to when you're looking for a friend or a pack," Tyler Posey says in the exclusive MTV.com interview below. "And Scott's trying to lead Isaac away from Derek." The Hale descendant might ultimately prove to be the least of Scott's worries, though, as the show's actors agree a mysterious new creature that's circling Beacon Hills might make him look like a woodland nymph comparatively. Plus, since Kate's death, all bets are off when it comes to the Argent family's commitment to keeping the innocent alive, and Allison's father might be the only one still averse to killing werewolves without reason, Crystal Reed says. "When people get power, it sort of messes with their head," she says. "But Allison's father--he's really driven by what is right and what is wrong." more
Q: Any Teen Wolf scoop on Lydia? A: “By the third episode you’re going to get some hints of what’s to come with Lydia… and she’s not OK,” teases the show’s creator/showrunner Jeff Davis. “She is definitely feeling the effects of the bite that was taken out of her side. She has a very big arc this season. I told [her portrayer], Holland [Roden], at the start of the season that her role is going to become a lot more important, even though the character doesn’t know it yet. There’s a lot for her to play and she’s part of a big mystery.” source

Crystal Reed reveals that we can expect to see some changes in the relationship between Allison and her werewolf hunter father, Mr. Argent. "I think that deep down inside Allison is definitely a daddy's girl," Reed says. "The relationship is definitely going to be tested, for sure. She's going to come to the point where she doesn't know if she trusts him. The major theme of their relationship this season is trust." more
Q: Bonjour! Any interesting news about Teen Wolf? A: Odd pairing alert! Everyone's favorite Beacon Hills lax star Danny will be spending some quality time with…Allison! Don't worry, they aren't pairing up in a romantic sense (because he's gay, duh-doy!), so hope is still alive for you Stiles and Danny fans. Need more? Of course, the secrets of the season — like what EXACTLY is going on with Lydia (Holland Roden) and what havoc is in store now that Allison’s hunter grandpa is in town — were kept under wraps when the cast sat down with us. But fans will find out soon enough, according to Roden. “Episodes two and three really get into what happened,” she said, staying mum on the specifics of Lydia’s monster affliction. But more awesome moments are on the way for Lydia and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), who last night stood by his friend/love interest even as she engaged in mysterious, naked escapades. “There are some dates, but I would more call them forced hang-out occasions,” O’Brien said. “It’s not like Lydia and [Stiles] go on a nice candlelit dinner, and I walk her home and kiss her goodnight.” Because that would be too simple, and if there’s anything in store for the rest of the season, it’s a host of complications. more
You know that crazy freakin’ lizard creature we met on the second episode of Teen Wolf‘s second season? You can expect to see it again — a lot, actually. “Pretty much, how last season everyone was trying to find out who the Alpha was, you’ll spend a little under half the season trying to find out who or what this thing really is,” Colton Haynes told me. Any guesses? At this point, it could be practically anyone in Beacon Hills. source

There's a new creep clawing its way into MTV's Teen Wolf. "At the very end of the fifth episode, you find out something scary about this new creature — who it is and why it is," star Tyler Posey told me at the MTV Movie Awards. "It has a lot more strength and importance than anyone thinks. It is just hell for us." source
”I think viewers will definitely be wondering how much she knows, as opposed to how much she’s letting on,” Bianca told HollywoodLife.com back in February when we first chatted about her new gig. “It’s fun for me to still be in a school, but now now to sort of be on the other side of things,” she said. “It’s crazy, because I was obviously just playing a student.” Bianca couldn’t give too much away, but she did admit there’s a “mysterious” aspect to Ms. Morrell. And even though the character’s last name may look like “moral,” it wouldn’t be smart to assume she’s a good guy just yet. We can, however, expect to her to interact quite a bit with Scott (Tyler Posey) and his fellow classmates. more
Q: I'm obsessed with Teen Wolf! Any scoop? A: So a werewolf walks into a gay bar. No, that's not the opening of a joke, it's an awesome scene coming up later this season. Yes, viewers will see Scott and Stiles hit up a gay bar with Danny in a future episode, and we're hearing it's epic, funny, entertaining, etc. Basically, it's going to take over your Tumblr dashboard for approximately two weeks. source
Q: When you see shows of this type really upping the ante and killing off integral characters, does that put the pressure on you to kill someone off, at some point? A: Only if it’s necessary for the story. I don’t like the idea of death for the sake of ratings or not knowing what to do with the character anymore. If the story dictates it and it’s where the characters should go, then that’s a great death. A victorious death or a death that is a beautiful sacrifice are things that we’ll definitely not shy away from. more
Q: I'm absolutely loving Teen Wolf this season! Give me any scoop you've got! A: How about three teases for the rest of the season? Yes, we're just that generous. 1. Someone new will learn about the existence of werewolves by season's end. 2. Allison and Erica will soon get some one-on-one time. (Awkward alert?) 3. We can confirm one person who isn't dying this season: Newbie wolf Isaac. source
Q: Is Allison on the hunt this year? A: She’s on the hunt. She’s on the hunt at the beginning of the season for this creature. She’s trying to help Stiles and Scott find it. It’s cool because they have this threesome dynamic. It reminds me of Harry Potter, and then towards the end of this season she’s on the hunt for a lot more. While season one built toward the big reveal of the Alpha in the finale, the identity of the Kanima will be unmasked tonight. (Davis also teases that hard-core fans "definitely won't want to miss [episode] nine.") Still, fans should expect "a big climax" at the end of season two. "Without giving anything away, episode 12 is titled ‘Master Plan,' so that should give fans a hint that all of the characters and their stories are definitely going to come crashing into each other," he says. more
"The fight between Derek and the hunters is definitely worse after that. I don't think he helped his cause in any way," Tyler Hoechlin tells us. "Since season one, I always felt like there's this kind of mutual respect between Derek and Argent (JR Bourne). I think Derek sees him as a hunter who follows the code and is honorable and doesn't go against the rules. I think Argent has always seen Derek as a threat, but not a malicious threat in the way that the Alpha was in the first season, killing people unnecessarily. So I feel like maybe that respect may not be there so much anymore after this, which'll be an interesting development. It's never a good thing. I think it will be interesting to see how the Argents handle the situation we've kind of been hinting towards since the beginning." more
Does Stiles have magical powers now? Nope. When he made the circle outside the concert, Stiles appeared to be shocked by how quickly it went, and some fans speculated that he'd done it with his mind. That's not the case. "It was just a funny Stiles scene," Dylan O'Brien says. "He's left alone to complete this task, he's got no idea what he's doing, but he does it, and he's coming up short, he's got no help -- I just looked at it as being really funny. He's like 'Oh, wow, okay.' I actually think of it more of like, he just misjudged the distance, because there's definitely no supernatural abilities going on with Stiles, ever." more

Season two begins when a new member of the Argent family arrives in Beacon Hills and Scott and Allison are forced to continue their blossoming romance in secret. At the same time, Derek Hale, obsessed with gaining strength as a new Alpha, begins recruiting for his pack, including newly-bitten Jackson. While Derek's final goal includes bringing Scott into his fold, the Argents have begun molding Allison into a skilled werewolf hunter.

Character Bios:
Scott McCall (Tyler Posey): After a mysterious animal attack, Scott McCall transformed from ordinary teenager to creature of the night. With the help of his best friend Stiles, he’s been able to fend off Beacon Hills’ group of werewolf hunters…until now. With a new and more formidable Argent in town eager to avenge his daughter Kate’s death, and with an even bigger bad on the loose, Scott’s more in peril than ever. Will he be able to balance a normal teenage life of lacrosse, homework as well as his beautiful girlfriend Allison while protecting those he loves from new dangers lurking around every corner?

Allison Argent (Crystal Reed): Moving to Beacon Hills was a fresh start for Allison and her family, until she fell in love with Scott McCall. But the tragic conflict between Allison’s family of hunters and the werewolf she loves threatens to tear her relationship apart forever. Will Allison accept her family's legacy? JR Bourne plays Chris Argent, Allison's father. He is one of the local werewolf hunters.

Linden Ashby plays Sheriff Stilinski, Stiles father. He is Beacon Hills' sheriff.

Melissa Ponzio plays Melissa McCall, Scott's mother. She also works as a nurse at Beacon Hills Hospital.

Orny Adams plays Bobby Finstock, the coach of Beacon Hills High School's lacrosse team. He also teaches economics.

Eaddy Mays plays Victoria Argent, Allison's mother. She and her husband Chris Argent are also involved in werewolf hunting.

Keahu Kahuanui plays Danny Mahealani, Jackson's best friend. He is also on the lacrosse team and is openly gay.

Adam Fristoe plays Adrian Harris, a chemistry teacher at Beacon Hills High School.

Seth Gilliam plays Dr. Alan Deaton, a veterinarian. He works at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic and he is Scott McCall’s boss.

Susan Walters plays Mrs. Martin, Lydia's mother.

New Season Two Characters:
Michael Hogan (“Battlestar Galactica”) will play the role of Gerard Argent, Allison's grandfather. A man whose age has made him more lethal, he'll begin to sway Allison closer and closer toward the family's unique business of hunting werewolves.

Daniel Sharman (“Immortals”) will play Isaac Lahey, a troubled young high schooler on the lacrosse team who will be given a unique gift by the new Alpha, Derek.

Sinqua Walls (“Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Shark Night 3D”) will play the role a Boyd, a shy loner at Beacon Hills High School who reveals there’s more to him than meets the eye.

Gage Golightly (“Ringer,” “The Troop”) will play the role of Erica Reyes, a tough young girl whose transformation from ugly duckling to swan catches the attention of all the boys and resident wolves.

Stephen Lunsford (“Private Practice”) will play the role of Matt, a handsome teen with a knack for photography and whose initial crush on Allison will turn into real competition for Scott when the couple begins to grow apart under new tensions.

Bianca Lawson (“Pretty Little Liars,” “Buffy”) will appear in the show as Ms. Morrell, the Beacon Hills guidance counselor who becomes an ally to several characters.

John Wesley Shipp will play Mr. Lahey, Isaac father. He is the owner of Beacon Hills Cemetery. He sees a whole new side of his son after Derek brings Isaac into the wolf pack, and a few "mysterious incidents" plague him in particular.

If I had to guess....

1) Gerard? Maybe trying to bring them both into the fold and making his message loud and clear

2) Derek/his new packmates? Sending their own message that the hunters are vulnerable.

3) Our friendly, Lizardish type creature thing .

I'd go with your first guess that it's Gerard. I don't see Derek kidnapping them or allowing his pack mates to cause Scott would go mad, and I don't think he could out-take Papa Argent. And if it were the lizard .... I think they'd be dead not sitting in a dark room

I could be wrong though :shrugs: and next week will also be introducing Erica (the new female wolf) and ep 4 will introduce the guidance counsellor.

Also I find it interesting that in an interview they say Stephen Lunsford character Matt isn't Supernatural with him saying he isn't gonna be a werewolf or beta, which to me still leaves the door open for him to be the shapeshifter but who knows. I take an instant dislike to characters when they take pictures of a person at there aunts funeral.

oh, I agree. I nearly did a happy dance when Gerard crushed the film....

that was beyond creepy... was he going to go into a dark closet with that picture of Allison looking sad or something?

I get serious creepy vibes from him. He's like the stalker twin of Peter Parker before he turned into Spidey or something

I get that later on he's gonna be a love interest for Allison so obviously they've got to set it up that he's actually likes her, I just wish they'd gone about it a different way. You talk to a girl for a few seconds in the hallway, then you're going to her Aunt's funeral and taking pics of her? It's just really weird and it kinda makes any relationship they may have completely un-rootable from the start, at least for me.

yeah... and I got the creepy feeling when he was all "nice dress" because I almost felt like he knew about the funeral (as he was there)

and knew what the dress was for and was like "wow, thats a great dress for a funeral" type of comment.

Yay! Im so glad we are going to be seeing more of Danny. Its great seeing more non stereotypical gay characters on TV. This could be a really cute friendship.

it could be... though I wonder since Allison/Jackson are supposedly going to be interacting in some coming episodes if maybe it won't be tied into that, since Danny is Jackson's BFF. At least, the show tells us such.
