i really hope that when lucas and nathan go to see Dan and lucas says hes getting married dan will say to peyton? like as if he thinks that lucas and peyton are getting married and lucas will say to someone else, lindsey, and then dan will say something like, and yet i thought u and peyton were "destined" to be together. i just really hope dan will make a comment similar to that or something about he thought that lucas and peyton would end up together.

I'm pretty sure the engagement will be it for Peyton. She won't be able to keep putting herself through all of that. Once Peyton tells him they can't be friends or whatever, he then tries to really make it work with Lindsey. But even with Peyton not around his relationship with Lindsey still doesn't work out. I wonder if we'll get even a little LP alone scene after their 'closure'

So what you guys are saying is basically Lucas blames Peyton for his screwed up relationships? I think Lucas might still do that then after 512. If thats how its going to be then Lucas just needs to leave Peyton alone. I think Chase coming back is more for LP then Brooke for some reason.

Ugh, that clip bugged me kind of. Lindsey was being way hypocritical. She complained to Lucas that Peyton was a bitch when Peyton said she didn't like her. And then she goes back and does the same thing and expects it to be okay? :rolleyes:

I wonder what else happens in this episode to make Lucas seem so angry in the promo. Maybe he's frustrated with how Lindsey is acting toward Peyton, or Peyton is still angry with him, so he just gets upset in the end? :shrug:

Me too, for how perfect and mature Lindsey is supposed to be, I can't believe she stoops down to Peyton's so-called level.

I just dont' understand why they couldn't get another guy to do Chase's job of kissing Peyton in front of Lucas. I am scared too that Lucas is going to blame Peyton for Lindey leaving him.

Thanks, Justin, for helping us see into Lucas' POV. But like you said, if that is his reasoning, then it still didn't work. A casual viewer did not catch that. Hell, we are not casual viewers by any means and none of us caught that subtlety until you mentioned it and explained it.

Also, I watched the promo again, and when Lucas says, "I've moved on, why haven't you?" I don't think that "Because I still love you." is Peyton's first response. It definately doesn't seem like it. I think that she's says other things before she says that, which I'm excited for. I hope she calls him out on his 'moving on' comment. Like saying something like, "Lucas, if you think that what you're doing is moving on then I really do feel sorry for Lindsey." I just want SOMEONE to flat out tell Lucas what his feelings are, because obviously he has no idea what they are. :lol:

How would it be her fault though? Peyton probably closes the door on their relationship in 5.08. It's up to him after that, and Lindsey still leaves him.

I'm hoping that the kiss scene isn't just Lucas asking why Peyton hasn't moved on and then she just flat out says 'I still love you'. I hope there's more to it than that. It would be pointless for Peyton to admit to her feelings but not have a lot of other dialogue. I don't know what I'm looking for, just something other than just a kiss.

It wouldn't be her fault and it isn't. But I can see him initially blaming her for it not working out with Lindsey because he doesn't want to accept the responsibility.

In the end, Peyton is the sole reason for Lindsey walking away.
