I think all the main couples had chemistry at one point except for the ones involving Vanessa, and most guest stars. The only ones I felt had chemistry were Serena/Carter, and Blair/Louis in S4. I love the sparkly. Although Chuck/Vanessa had good chem in their one night stand, maybe they should have got together they both wanted to use Blair to save a building

I think Serena is going to go a little too far in the finale, but it will also be a wake-up call for her, and she will try to fix it by the end. Like Safran said. But SB would have been strained already. Maybe Dan would have already left for Rome or run away with Nate. Then season 6 paves the way for a SB rebuild.
