except I see this as bad news, because I know have to wait until I get the DVDs to catch my aunt up on the last six eps, which I will be forced to watch all in one night with her... yay! kill me now...

I couldn't sympathize at all in the finale and I'll have to wait and see how this all pans out. But for the meantime I'll probably just catch Bones. I hope that I can make my way back eventually. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Our MyNetwork starts tonight too. Our CW is already there, but it still only shows UPN shows. So I guess I'm watching VM again tonight.

To me you do an excellent job of explaining the circumstances, not only between Luke and Lorelai but also between the show and the fanbase that is being "cut out" so to speak. I know I will probably get hammered for saying this but I find that whenever someone tries to compare Lorelai to Rory they have missed the whole point of the discussion. Especially when they try and compare their perspective love lives. They are at totally different places in their lives and they approach things from different perspectives. They had completely different upbringings, their outlooks on everything are subjected to separate and often opposing barometers. Lorelai has raised a child to adulthood, she has a thriving career, owns her own business and her own house, she has had several relationships (the relationships she had through her 20's were not specified but alluded to while she was "dating" Max) . Rory is a student, never had a child, has only worked part time (mostly through family connections), doesn't own anything except her car (which was a gift), she has basically dated only 3 boys, well 2 boys and 1 man.
Rory has gone through what many young adults go through when they are finding their path in life so to speak. Almost all teenagers goes through the break-up, make-up angst of their first loves. This is a part of growing up. It cannot be compared to the relationships a woman in her late 30's is having. They are not the same at all. The relationship between Luke and Lorelai has been 6 years on the show (10 years in the Gilmore universe). Lorelai is not just losing her fiance, she is losing her best friend. The show is losing a relationship that it had from day 1. (Rory although also stated as best friend, is more importantly daughter, Sookie since she has had a family is less available as a sounding board.) The L/L relationship was totally severed. It is very difficult for some of us to see it coming to a resolution that will make any kind of sense. TPTB have decided on another route it appears, if Luke's character is not interacting with at least one of the "Gilmore Girls" then what is the point. Why is he there for 22 episodes.

Great post victorialeigh and ITA, I see L&L not talking for a while, maybe Lucky 7.07 will be the change and she will be invited back into the diner because until something happens I don't see Lorelai going there.

Question: Do u guys think Lorelai cheated on Luke?
Beacause i was watching 6.17 today when Logan goes to Paris to get Rory to forgive him and he said that in his mind he thought they weren't together anymore even though Rory said they were never officially broken up. Isn't this like the same thing with LL. Lorelai thinks its over but Luke doesn't think of it as officialy over?

I personally think that both Logan and Lorelai cheated because i believe that a relationship is over when both say it is. Not when one assumes it is because of a fight or whatever. JMO.
