On a happy note, maybe when LL are back together, Emily gives Luke a ring from her, maybe from her mother and this time Luke will be the one proposing, though I liked that Lorelai proposed, but well it didn't work out. So maybe this time will be better.

Maybe they've just met casually , and as long as we know this time Luke won't show how much what has happened will make him suffer, so she didn't expect him to react so fast , and instead of avoiding the town, the peolple, he will act as everything's ok.
It looks like he's carrying a paint can ,I guess for the grand reopening and when she passed he just stands there giving her a look.

IMO -Luke has always been the unsure when n this relationship, and his attitude maybe will make her think of what has she done to make him react this way so un-Luke's like .

About Rory and the emphasis being on her education and career. Of course the emphasis was on her career more than on finding the one when this show started out. The girl was 16. It would have personally freaked me out a bit if Rory (and Lorelai) would be all focused on finding THAT man for Rory. But things change, she ain't 16 anymore ... she grew up and Rory has for the most of GG been in relationships and well stakes got higher all the time. I'm not thinking Rory is only focused on her education and career anymore, because well there is this guy she loves. So why not go for it all! Why does it have to be either her career or a personal life? The whole package, baby ...

Wow, my bitterness towards Lorelai is back in full effect. It's only a matter of time before it goes away again. (Maybe after the first 13 episodes.)

That's EXACTLY what I got out of Lorelai's face, edk. Luke looks like he ain't taking any of her crap.

And Luke in a Tshirt AND a Toolbelt? Along with the Whack-A-Chris teaser, I think 7.02 will be my favorite episode EVAH. Or so far.

According to an article in the Norwich CT Bulletin, looks like Luke won't be wearing the Blue Baseball cap any longer:
