This is the episode that Jimmy Eats World will perform at Tric as part of a movie-night fundraiser for Nathan. According to an extra, Jake leaves in this episode. Andy and Karen are apparently still together. Brooke is helping Peyton deal with Jake's departure.

'The Tide That Left and Never Came Back”/“The Leavers Dance”
MUSICAL ARTIST JIMMY EAT WORLD PERFORMS AT TRIC – Things heat up between Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Brooke (Sophia Bush) after they head to New York for an overnight stay with Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz). Nathan (James Lafferty) and Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) conspire to desert Dan (Paul Johansson) for good, leading to an explosive conclusion when he discovers their plan. Peyton (Hilarie Burton) is elated when she gets the band Jimmy Eat World to perform at TRIC in time for Jake's (Bryan Greenberg) release from jail. Meanwhile, Andy (guest star Kieran Hutchinson) invites Karen (Moira Kelly) to spend the summer in New Zealand.

Episode 2:23: The Leavers Dance - 5.24.05 9:00 - 10:00 PM ET
LUCAS DISCOVERS PROOF OF DAN'S CRIMINAL ACTIVITY - Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) obtains the evidence he needs to defeat Dan (Paul Johansson) at last, while also struggling to tell Brooke (Sophia Bush) he wants to be with her.
Peyton (Hilarie Burton) is threatened by a webcam voyeur at the same time a journalist (guest star Sheryl Lee) takes an interest in her life. Nathan (James Lafferty) and Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) conspire to desert Dan for good, leading to an explosive conclusion when he discovers their plan. Craig Sheffer, Barry Corbin and Moira Kelly also star. Greg Prange directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn (#223).

E! Online's gossip maven Kristen recently spoke to Tree Hill "big boss" Mark Schwahn about the big two-hour season finale. He confirmed that Lucas and Brooke will take a road trip to NYC to see Haley. They feel that they began the school year as best friends and they figure they can't end the year without seeing her. The trip promises to put Lucas and Brooke together in "close quarters," and you know what happened to Lucas and Peyton when they were stuck in close quarters together. Ahem. Nathan will continue to recover and in his frail state be manipulated by Dan. Somehow Dan will make Nathan feel responsible for Deb's many addictions. Peyton will be overjoyed when Jake will get out of jail but be threatened by a webcam voyeur. Didn't she get rid of that Peyton room cam last year? And did you happen to catch that kiss Dan planted on Karen during the tease? We'll be sure to get to the bottom of that nastiness soon enough!

New York, Here Comes The Heat: In the two hour season finale of the WB hit series One Tree Hill (8:00p.m -9:00p.m) Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Brooke (Sophia Bush) head to New York to visit friend Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) who is still on tour. While catching up with his friend, Lucas finds himself in close quarters with Brooke, and the heat and sexual tension rising. While struggling to figure out whether to tell her how he feels, they'll only get closer.
