I still think I'd prepare myself for a few annoying scenes in 7.11, at least to start with. We've got all that Gilmore-Hayden family's first Christmas stuff going on. And while I assume there will be a current of tension in a least part of the ep, I'm assuming at least in the beginning of the ep we'll have Lorelai still wholeheartedly throwing herself into the marriage complete with smiles of happiness about her 'new family' being together. I mean - Christmas tree decoration, shopping, baking cookies, possible reference to the vow renewal party where I'm betting she agreed to exchange vows again with Chris? Not trying to cast a damper on anyone's mood or anything, but I still think I'd brace myself for the first part of 7.11 and hope that the second half of it really ramps the tension up.

I just had a thought.
When the "family" is getting the Christmas stuff down....
Does Chris take down the "Luke" box and Lorelai tells him not to open it because its Santa's Secret Stuff?

I always wondered what Lorelai did with her Luke pile after 7.02.. I think it was 7.02. Anyway, I always wondered where it went. Did she give it back to him? Did they have an exchanging of sorts? Did Rory bring it to him? Sookie? I'm curious. And I think someone should let Chris in on something. When Rory was suddenly out of Lorelai's life, Lorelai got a dog to fill the void. Chris is just another version of a dog.

...and I agree with your post, I like the idea of her breaking down but I'd liek him to also break down at some point. Maybe they then kiss and it get very hot very quick ;)

IMO Luke will get that feeling again and at some point think maybe he can be with Lorelai, she will also get there and then they hook up, but first they will become closer again as friends, spending time together is what they will need to do.

I said a while ago they needed to be friends again first and I'm sticking by that.

I'm thinking the letter will trigger something in Luke also but he'll do nothing at first, 'cause he still thinks she doesn't want him that way and is married.

ITA and have said so since seeing it. it was IMO the reverse of SS when Luke went to Lorelai after the desperate message, he thought they could work things out there and they be she said those words and he thought it was over, stupid miss communication! If only they had gone for coffee to talk then maybe the last 8 eps would have been very different, do we blame Liz for filling his mind with that idea which triggered the not meant to be in him?

IMO it was sent back to Luke, along with his boat, Jackson or someone did the dirty work. The :make_out: chair at one point was at the CS but then April is sitting on it in GB! I just hate they skipped over some of the good stuff.

haha Maybe Lorelai buys a self-help book and has a major "whoa!" moment... :sigh: I absolutely love that moment in Luke Can See Her Face!! I've been watching season 4 recently and will probably get into season 5 again because I just love it. I just love it!! And I absolutely cannot wait until somehow LL get back together... so I'll stick with the good ol' days for now.

I love that spec about the Luke box, dream****!! I've always wondered what happened to the stuff anyway... supposedly his boat is still in her garage and filled with "junk." I had the thought that that was where Lorelai put the Luke stuff... but no one really knows for sure? One of those key things that made the first part of this season rediculous. Lack of explanation... but hopefully that will soon change :D
