Okie, I could be wrong, but most of the reviews I've read for GG this season are negative...they come out 50/50 at best. Am I missing any good reviews? Does DR even care or is he so far in his vision that CL will play out despite this?

DR and LG both said that we don´t know what we want, so they are giving us this LC crap.....

I agree they are not so much negative though but "something is off" seems to been the theme for most.

I looove the tvsquad review and i haven't seen the episode yet!!
I'm glad that everyone believes that the c/l thing doesn't fit after what we've seen between l/l for two years!

Anyway, this week’s Gilmore Girls didn’t really have a lot happening. It came off more as a filler or an attempt to set things up for the rest of the season. Either way, Gilmore Girls was lacking. I hope it isn’t due to the new writers because last week’s episode was pretty good. Perhaps they have too many holes to write their way out of for us to expect each episode to be great. I just hope they don’t make this last year of Gilmore Girls a disappointment.

since we have nothing LL to discuss, is Rory-Luke close enough? I'm sure i'm reading too much into it, but the fact that she went into the diner last night... could that be a setup for later? Like maybe she's in the diner when she gets the call that Grandpa's in the hospital, and he takes her?

OH! I love that speculation. Could Luke make her disgusting santa too? She wouldn't ask, he'd just be in that sort of mode. Then he'd drive her to the hospital. Not because she didn't have a vechile. But maybe she walked to the diner? Or just maybe because she's too disoriented to drive.

Then to further the parallel, Lorelai would go home with Luke instead of Rory.

They have instances where it wouldnt' be so contrived, right? And yet, I doubt they'll take them!

I wish Luke and Rory would have had a real conversation last night, but whatever.

But if Rory is going to continue to go into the diner, I'd like a scene where she is obsessing over her missed calls, texts, etc. from Logan. She's complaining about Bobby, the pretty colleague. She's complaining about how she isn't sure she's right for Logan - that's he's in a different world than her. And she's complaining vocally to Lane, but Luke overhears. And Rory, knowing that Luke is listening, says something like "but you have to fight for the one you love right? Metaphorically speaking, of course." It starts to snow and then Luke suddenly has to run an errand or whatever.

I know in all my viewing of GG Lorelai was happy with Luke... be it friendship or whatever they had... they had their ups and down like everybody, it as just the later part of S6 when the Creator decide that we the fans don't know what we want and as a L/L lover. I am not and will not be happy with the current sl.
