Bootie I don't think Luke threw anything in her face, he was thinking of April just like Lorelai had been thinking of Rory for 6 months.

They both screwed up but Luke didn't deserve this, he was there for her when she needed him and she bailed on him. She hide from him for days and then sleeps with Chris, this will numiliate Luke and the town will find out.

I hate it that the CW are looking like playing it that it was okay since she said it was over, didn't the last 10 years mean anything to her?

It was a different situation with Rory - for one thing Luke already knew her, plus she's an adult. Assimilating April into his life should have included Lorelai, because she would theoretically play an integral part in April's life. You don't think telling Lorelai she's like a cartoon character, and April would like her better, was throwing it in her face?

No, Luke didn't deserve this, but as has been said many times, he's not blameless in the events leading up to what she did.

I don't think they are playing it to be ok - Sookie & Rory will be holding her feet to the fire over it, and maybe we'll get a better understanding as to "why".

Bootie I didn't say Luke was blameless but he can't be held to account for Lorelai's actions if she DIDN'T Tell Luke how she was feeling for months and then leaves like that, Lorelai might have though it was over but Luke certainly did not.

Anyway on this thread we should be on their side, wanting them to work it out which given DSR's dirrectiong he's taking the show is going to make it hard, we have NO spoilers that say L&L even talk for the best part of the first 7 eps, how can they fix this if they don't talk, that was their problem to start with!

Well, again, some of his actions were deliberate, and he let her know that, so he can be held accountable for his contribution to her breakdown.

I've always been on their side, which is why I persist in presenting Lorelai's POV when most people want to strangle her, to make it a little less one-sided. In order to be rooting for both of them though, don't we also need to understand their motives? Up to now all we can do is speculate on what those might be, especially where Lorelai is concerned.

There's no indication their paths cross after episode 2, but I can tell you she purposely avoids Luke in Ep 5. So, yeah, resolution will be a long time coming I think.

Okay, so I watched it.

The GG feeling was there, which I liked. It was humerous. But the pain...ugh.
It was an ok episode. Definitely not the best or anything.
The one thing...SP nailed all his scenes. Perfect! Would have liked more emotion from Lorelai, but maybe next week.
