I do predict he will be out in the media tomorrow talking about the episode... Like he was last year after the twist with Zack...

He has some explaining to do...

Since I live for soapy on television. I think this opens up possibilities. I didn't have many expectations.

However, people familiar with the matter said that the situation was moving quickly, and that a deal could be finalized as soon as tonight or tomorrow morning.

So, when all is said and done, "Bones" will almost certainly be back on Fox, and viewers will never know the difference.

But behind the scenes, there has been a bit of drama in recent days as 20th and Fox haggled over finding an appropriate license fee for "Bones."

Even though both companies play for Team Rupert, 20th and Fox operate as separate business units with their own bottom lines. The studio can't just cut Fox a break because the money all goes to the News Corp. treasury.

As TV MoJoe and others have reported before, networks are looking to cut license fees or limit fee increases wherever possible this year. And in the case of "Bones," Fox was looking to pay 20th less than the studio wanted.

While the two sides were never radically far apart, according to insiders, other network insiders report getting calls asking if they'd be interested in "Bones," and if so, how much they'd be willing to pay for it. That's an indication Fox and 20th were trying to discover the true market value of "Bones."

It's also understood that Endeavor's Rick Rosen, who represents a "Bones" executive producer, was brought into the picture to help with the talks. Rosen couldn't be reached for comment; 20th and Fox aren't talking, either.

I hadn't heard it due to Bones until now.

But I know it's been bad at CBS with their shows. Due to the economy. Getting their big stars to take pay cuts. Some have, some are balking...

So it doesn't surprise me that there was some play with the PTB behind Bones. Because next to American Idol. Bones is Fox's most successful longterm show.

I'm not too worried about the situation. I'm agonizing over the wait we'll have to endure... lol.

I know when I woke up from my open heart surgery, I was totally confused. My family was standing over me and I didn't even recognize them. I was all like: "What's going on? Who are these people? What's this thing in my throat??" I could barely even form a sentence.

I think, mostly, Booth is just confused. That dream being so real to him doesn't help matters, is all.

Tough Man in the Tender Chicken... hmm.
IF Booth REALLY can't remember hardly anything at all, I can see them making him quite timid. And of course Booth = opposite of timid. And then Bones getting kidnapped or the like, something triggers Booth's memory, and he goes back (slow and dawning realization - like a brewing storm) to being all bad ass again.

My vote is on episode 3 (PitP).

Though I'd happily take episode 1!
