VENGEANCE COMES TO ‘MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.,’ ON THE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE ON ABC Gabriel Luna Guest Stars as Robbie Reyes – aka Ghost Rider “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all-new time period, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they’ve ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman Lincoln Campbell. In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack, and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. Agent May is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz and Simmons have taken a big step forward in their relationship. In the season premiere episode, “The Ghost,” Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie. Guest starring are Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Lorenzo James Henrie as Gabe, Briana Venskus as Agent Piper, Max Osinski as Agent Red, Ricardo Walker as Agent Prince, Edward Gelhaus as skinhead, Ian Hutton as Blondie, Blaise Miller as lab tech, Samuel Barajas as Felix, Bryan Rasmussen as warehouse manager, Wilson Ramirez as Diego, Jen Kuo Sung as Chen, Jerry Ying as thug #1 and Lilli Birdsell as Lucy. “The Ghost” was written by Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen and directed by Billy Gierhart.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. As teased in the season-ending time jump, there’s a new Director in town (played by Jason O’Mara), and “the relationship between him and Coulson may start out a little tense,” Clark Gregg reports. How will May and the others take to the new boss, especially with Daisy out shaking up the world as Quake and after Fitz’s POSSLQ Simmons gets promoted up the ranks? “They’ll always be a spy organization, so trust will always be an issue,” says co-showrunner Jed Whedon. “The dynamic has changed a lot at headquarters, so we’ll see how that affects everybody.” S.H.I.E.L.D. best solidify its ranks and quick, given that a new threat — Ghost Rider aka vengeful mechanic Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) — is about to ignite. “He’s a violent character who comes with a lot of blood and a lot of fire,” says Whedon, adding: “His skull will be on fire exactly as much as we can afford!” BONUS SPOILER!: Sorry, ladies — Dublin native O’Mara’s character, whose name has yet to be revealed, “does not have an accent, which is too bad,” Gregg shares. “Jason has a beautiful accent, but not on our show.” RETURN DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10/9c (ABC)

Any new info on FitzSimmons on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? — Amber It sounds like things may get off to a rocky start for FitzSimmons. “Fitz and Simmons are in a relationship now, so we’re going to play with that dynamic and what’s it like to work with the person that you’re in love with,” EP Jed Whedon says. But that will be made more complicated by Simmons becoming the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director’s (Jason O’Mara) No. 2. “This new director may come with new policy changes, new rules,” EP Maurissa Tancharoen says. “Simmons being someone who’s good at following the rules may cause some tension with the rest of our team.”
