Interesting, because ''Superman II'' has been highly praised as well & on some levels is considered better than ''Superman'' was.

Superman II in my opinion hasn't stood the test of time as much as the original has. And Richard Donner actually filmed 70% of Superman II before he got fired by the Salkinds for refusing to cut out Marlon Brando's scenes as Jor El because they didn't want to pay him what he asked for. If you look at Superman II: The Donner Cut you see a glimpse of what Donner's original version would've been like. Much of Donner's scenes were either cut out or re-shot, except for all the scenes with Gene Hackman, or the scenes which couldn't be re-shot, like the lunar scenes. And he didn't get to finish, so his version is incomplete. The Richard Lester version was successful when it came out in 1981, but over time the campiness of it starts to appear very dated. He came from a comedy background, and his version had a bit too much camp in it.

They are & have great actors in them. Annette O' Toole was even in ''Superman II'' & ''Superman III'' as ''Lana Lang''.

I loved Hellboy. How did I not know there was a second one.

I also had no clue The Mask was first a comic book.

Yep. It was. Did you enjoy ''300''? The 1 I forgot to see this year was ''R.I.P.D.''

I'm awful about going to the movies. I haven't seen 300, it looks to bloody for me and I'm worried I'd end up watching it between my hands but R. I. P. D. looks really good.

Ah crap I knew I was leaving out 300 and The Mask. Loved those movies too.

The Mask is actually my favorite Jim Carrey film. Like it better then Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind, Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber, and Me, Myself & Irene which are also some of my favorites.

The Mask has always been a favorite which is why I was so surprised it was from a comic. I always end up surprised by how many Jim Carrey movies that I like.

I was honestly surprised how many comic movies there where out there.

Yeah. There's a lot of comic book based films, especially if you include the ones languages other than English. There's also a lot of Manga based films.

Since I've gotten into mangas I've enjoyed some of those films. My favorites have been the Case Closed ones and I want to check out The Prince of Tennis.

I want to see ''Berserk''. Been reading the Manga. Haven't heard of ''Prince of Tennis" before.

The summary of Berserk sounds really good. I'll have to see if I can find the manga somewhere.

I picked up Prince of Tennis because I was looking for something different to read and I figured sports was pretty different and was surprised by how much I've enjoyed it. Half the tennis moves are made up in it but I wouldn't know the difference. I've seen the first season of the anime but I'm holding out on the movie until I finish the manga.
