I like being challenged, this constant grind I`m going through now is cool.

Being challenged on occasion is okay, but I couldn`t take it on a daily basis.

Putting Santa on the defensive? I`m not sure how well that would work.

I suppose that it would depend on how it`s done.

I was told that I should post these here.

They are icons suitable for use at LJ and/or GJ.

So, now I have posted them.

I don`t know that I will come back to this thread often, or even at all, but I figured it couldn`t hurt to share these, since it is likely that they would be appreciated here.

Bleh, the pics are no longer available; I was linking them from the official syndicate of Calvin and Hobbes, which rotates them out on an ongoing basis.

Though I completely respect Watterson`s decision to not do any merchandising, I would be really into stuffed Calvin/Hobbes figures.

Haha, that would be great! I very strongly feel that Calvin and Hobbes is the greatest syndicate driven comic of all time, or at least amongst the top; it`s sad that respected creators like Charles Schultz admire the comics, but that the series sells less than titles that are completely mainstream like Garfield/Dilbert.

I mean no offense to fans of those titles, but I don`t think that anyone will argue that either title is a seminal work in the history of literature...

I think Garfield appeals to a broader audience. Calvin & Hobbes is aimed more at a mature audience. Just my opinion.

I definitely agree, but shouldn`t there be a market for both? Especially with the costly nature of comics now, I don`t imagine many kids would opt for a book over a video game or other distraction.

Shame.
