She definitely fits with the team so much better than the last couple.

And I think she fits in the place she's been put, too.

I definitely like her a lot, and it's enough for me to see some episodes, but not to watch regularly.

I understand that.

For me, as long as Hotch and Rossi are there, I'll watch.

But it's always been one of those shows that I'm less attached to anyway.

I love Hotch, Rossi, and Spencer.

They are the reason I still go back at times, when I know I don't enjoy the show anymore.

Derek was always my least favorite.

I liked him, I just liked everyone else more.

Yeah, Derek wasn't my favourite either.

Not because I disliked him.

Far from it.

Come to think of it, I think Shemar put his finger on it when he said that he decided Morgan would be "the muscle" on the team.

FBI behavioural analysts aren't supposed to be wimps, but they're supposed to be more about smarts.

At least, that's what I thought.

And that's not to say that Derek was dumb.

But I like smart.

So, Hotch, Rossi, Spence... those are my guys.

I loved Morgan for who and what he was.

And Shemar rocked the role.

I just liked the other characters more-or I related to them more maybe?

The Prentiss episode had a few good team moments.

It just didn't feel right to me.

I just didn't care about the story of the team enough to keep watching.

Or having, basically, and outsider with the team?

They were supposed to deal with Derek's leaving, but they really felt forced to me.

I'm not entirely surprised, but I am sorry.

I know you love Emily a lot, so I had hoped that would be good for you.

I guess it wasn't.

Nah, it wasn't great.

She just, she wasn't the same.

Which I should have expected.

I just hadn't given that any thought.

I haven't caught up to the episode yet.

Just the chemistry didn't feel right.

It seemed like she wasn't as in character.

Which would no doubt happen after not being the character for this long.

And being in a comedy, she just isn't in the rhythm I think.

She's an actress and she played for much longer on CM than she's been on this new show.

So she should have been able to be up to it, you know?

Oh, well.

I'm sure they had fun behind the scenes.

I mean, they're all friends, right?

Yeah, you could tell from the pictures they posted of behind the scenes that they had a blast.

Well, that's good to know.

Good for them.

So, unrelated, but I was just switching around the channels and I came across an episode of CM dubbed in French.

It was a scene with Garcia and Morgan and it was her speaking.

And it totally didn't sound like her.

Her voice was much older and, I don't know, less peppy than it is on the show.

It was SO weird!

I've always found dubbing way off.

Like I can't even deal with the words not matching their lips.

Much less if their voices aren't like the original character.

That would be so weird to me, too.

It was profoundly weird.

The voices are off, as mentioned before, but the language they use is also off.

It's French, but it's a sort of hybrid that neither Quebec French nor France French.

So the only people who speak that French are on other translated/dubbed TV shows.
