I think most people are just not happy about the fact that Ruby left. she was just so perfect in that role. but she had a lot of health issues due to doing all her own stunts on the show and I think she hinted at some bts drama as well for why she left.
but now they are bringing in this new character to replace Batwoman and somehow going to write Kate's character out and bring in this new role Ryan Wilder in her place. __________________

Think most people would have been fine if they just recast the role, which the TPTB for the show didn't get for some reason.

I don't know why she kept doing her own stunts, if she got injured doing them & that's what caused her to quit this show. So, is the rest of season 1's cast mostly staying the same for next year?

Yes. Just over 90 days before a new year begins. That will be something to celebrate. Before then of note, there's Thanksgiving Day coming up in Canada, Halloween, Election Day here in the U.S. among other holidays coming up to perhaps be hapot about for some.
