I treated myself to a double matinee today.
 Get Out: I love well done horror. This movie provides that in spades.  It had a very creepy vibe and was genuinely creepy without a lot of gore and the fears of the main character were so real in multiple ways. I highly recommend it.Before I Fall: I read the book this is based on years ago. The book was a really clever idea and had a good message. This movie was decent, a fairly faithful adaptation but I felt it was too short to capture the true spirit and details of the book. __________________

The Purge: Anarchy-so much better than the first one! I liked that it took place in different locations and wasn't as predictable as the original. Frank Grillo killed it! He was so awesome! I would recommend it!

The Purge:Election Year-not as good as the second one...i felt like it was just thrown together by people that wanted to get their political opinions out there. This one really couldn't keep my interest. Frank Grillo was the best part...he was awesome. I wouldn't recommend it...just stop at the second one

Last week I went to see "Get Out". I really liked it a lot. I love Horror movies though.

I re-watched a couple John Cusack flicks the other day...
Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) and Better Off Dead (1985) Both of them really held up well. Better Off Dead cracks me up every time I see it. "I want my two dollars!" |
