Being so close minded must be aggravating.

Ironically it's on another movie channel on TV at the moment, but I wouldn't get to finish the watch if I started as it would cut in to the start of the Golden Globes.

When we reach the right genre in the re-watch thread, we should so watch this!

The extended cut would probably get 9.5/10 from me, if it wasn't for the fact that they changed the music in some crucial scenes.

It reminds me of when 90's TV boxsets are restricted for copyright so they changed so many great songs.

I don't know if I even noticed dramatic changes from the theatrical to extended.

There are notable differences  the main one being the big fight scene between Hector and Achilles, but also, there are messes with the score during certain scenes where you can tell the Director rushed to edit it all together in the extended cut and there wasn't a lot of thought put into it. Some of the music booms in moments that would be better off quiet, for example.

Overall though, I can look past that for the good scenes that were put back into the movie :) stuff with Odysseus, plus Hector seems more angry towards Paris in the EV.

I'm actually trying to think if I have even SEEN the extended and that's why I've not noticed!

I watched it on Netflix to compare to this new British mini series. I do enjoy it and I don't mind Paris and Helen living

I liked Eric Bana in this role. It was a great casting choice. :)
