For those of you that hated that Beyonce sang Learn to be Lonely at the Oscar's, what do you think of this?
Beyonce Knowles to play Bob Dylan Beyoncé Knowles is on the shortlist to play grizzled protest singer Bob Dylan. The 'Bootlicious' singer is one of several black female stars being considered to play Dylan in a biopic of his life after the director, Todd Haynes, announced he was searching for a woman to do justice to the white Jewish singer's "inner blackness". I actually think that is a very interesting approach to a biopic but also I find that very kind of racist. Yes of course the blues came from a black man(the amazingly talented Robert Johnson mind you) but it is wrong to say that some skinny jewish kid can't have his own soul without having stolen it from black folk. That just sounds silly. That's like having Frederick Douglass played by a white man because his education was a reflection of his "inner whiteness". They are basically saying that it all came from another source instead of from his own pain and idealism. Frederick and Bob worked hard man let em be the way they are. __________________

Hey everyone New thread, yay!
I saw the Phantom on stage last week... it was the fifteenth time or so that I saw it, but everytime it's as good as the first one. The movie is very good but it just can't beat the stage version. Especially the London one __________________

That Beyoncee thing is great... Um... If anyone has these clips. It'd be great... I need them for my vid.
All I Ask of You (Reprise)- When Erik breaks the rose crying into it. . Such a sad scene. Madame Girry's Story The very last scene in the movie with the ring and rose on the grave. __________________
