Rusell Crowe is a great looking man. :sigh: He looks so young in that last picture.

it's one of his first films, the crossing, and that's his wife, danielle. yeah, he looks very nice.

when you look at his face in that pic, and then at romper stomper, you find it hard to believe that there were only 2 years difference.

thatreminds me of another movie i think got the shaft, rough magic, with russell crowe and bridget fonda.

I think American History X is often overlooked. ALOT of people have no idea what it is, when I mention it, or they say, well, I only wathced the first 5 minutes and wasn't interested. That was me actually. I watched the first few minutes and was like this is so boring. Then one night, I was so bored and popped the movie in and made myself sit through the first few minutes and by the end of the movie, I was just in shock, at how well acted and written the movie was. The movie is brutal and Edward Norton, as Derrik, is very scary, mean, cruel, sincere, remorseful and heartbreaking and probably one of the most underrated actor's, but he is terrific in this film. He was good in fight club, BUT he was wonderful in this movie and talk about a transformation, DAMN, Edward has got a rock hard body, in this movie too. Edward Furlong, dosen't need to go unnoticed either, he was great. His best movie IMHO, next to Terminator 2.

I actually was introduced to the movie by watching it in school my teacher did fast forward certain parts but its really good and agree its overlooked

Zodiac - It is truly a perfect movie, genius. It isn't mentioned enough.

- Didn't make near what I thought it should at the box office, and there seemed to be very little promotion for the movie. I thought it was fantastic. The acting, the writing...all top notch.

Life as a House
- Hayden Christensen is so good in this film, and I don't usually go for these types of films, but it moved me.

This version of Peter Pan was closer to the source material and as you said, definitely pretty much perfect in every way. It makes me sad that the cheesy Hook is better known :blank:

Also I thought Over The Hedge is a very decent animation movie. Entertaining right until the very end

Another one that is a bit of mystery to me is Stargate. It's gorgeous, has a great villain and story and the acting is great. I don't understand why it's not more popular in Sci-fi circles

It does!

Zodiac is about the police work and community terror during the Zodiac killer's "reign".

Is it mostly the mystery/detective part of the movie or the actual depiction of the murders? I choose not to see horror/violent movies. So a good detective story I'd see, but not the countless scenes of murder reenactments.

Hope that made sense.

Zodiac is amazing.

Two movies I love dearly are overlooked if not labeled "unknown". They are "Mean Creek" and "L.I.E.". Mean Creek won a lot of awards and has one of the Culkin brothers and the fatter one from Drake and Josh. L.I.E. deals with homosexuality and pedophilia...making it a hard movie for me to recommend so gleefully, but it's such a compelling story that is the reason I love Paul Dano to this day!
