Based on the acclaimed best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks (A Walk To Remember, Message in a Bottle), the hit romantic drama The Notebook arrives on a Platinum Series DVD from New Line Home Entertainment on February 8.

This touching, nostalgic story of true love and destiny stars breakout talents Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls) and features an ensemble of Academy Award-nominated co-stars including James Garner, Gena Rowlands, Sam Shepherd and Joan Allen as well as James Marsden (the "X-Men" films).

Directed by Nick Cassavetes (John Q.), The Notebook will offer deleted scenes, four in-depth featurettes, Rachel McAdams' screen test, separate commentaries from the director and novelist Nicholas Sparks, as well as a DVD-ROM enabled script-to-screen program and more. The Notebook will be available for rental on Platinum Series(TM) DVD and VHS, and for sale on Platinum Series(TM) DVD at the suggested retail price of $27.95.

As teenagers, Allie (McAdams) and Noah (Gosling) begin a whirlwind courtship that soon blossoms into tender intimacy. The young couple is quickly separated by Allie's upper-class parents who insist that Noah isn't right for her. Several years pass, and, when they meet again, their passion is rekindled, forcing Allie to choose between her soul mate and class order. This beautiful tale has a particularly special meaning to an older gentleman (Garner) who regularly reads the timeless love story to his aging companion (Rowlands).

I finally got to watch The Notebook today and it was beautiful and so sad. I was an emotional wreck when It ended. So at the end they both died in the bed together?

Hey everyone.
I bought the movie when it was released and fell in love with it. It's just amazing. I wanted to make a couple music videos to it using the DVD, but my computer wouldn't play it, let alone import it, for some strange reason. Anyway, I ended up d/l parts just to make the videos, and even though the quality is much lower and size MUCH smaller, at least the video is done. If you want to see it, you can download it Here

Any feedback would be appreciated. And again, sorry for the quality of the video. Until I can find a way to actually use the DVD, this is the best I could come up with.

I saw this movie recently, and as the rest of you, I heart it so much! It was very well put together. The cast was great and had the right amount of chimistry!

What's everyone favorite scene in the movie?

Mine would have to be when it was raining, and Allie had just got out of the boat, and she goes up to Noah and saids, "Why didn't you write me?" And after that, man, it was so amazing!

As for my favorite scene, that's a tough one. For my top three I guess would have to say:

1.) When Allie sees the paper of Noah and the house and then faints.

2.) When Allie's mother comes to the house and finds Allie just covered with a blanket

3.) The scene when Allie and Noah are surrounded by the swans

Guys i HAVE to be added!! Dude i nearly cried just looking at the banners!! I love this movie SOOOOO much. My favorite part would have to be when they're out in the rain and shes all "It wasnt over for me!" and hes like "It's still not over!" and then they kiss which leads into the huge love making scene lol. I love it love it love it!! I just got the dvd and for some odd reason my extras dont work...BOO! i think i might return it but lol i dont want it to leave me! I SO love this movie its SO cute!
