MILLION DOLLAR BABY (2004)



In the wake of a painful estrangement from his daughter, boxing trainer Frankie Dunn has been unwilling to let himself get close to anyone for a very long time--then Maggie Fitzgerald walks into his gym. In a life of constant struggle, Maggie's gotten herself this far on raw talent, unshakable focus and a tremendous force of will. But more than anything, she wants someone to believe in her. I watched this amazing film last night and I felt the need to talk about it. I'm sure there are other people who loved it as well. It might sound suspicious, but I think Hilary deserves the Oscar, again. I didn't watch the other movies (which makes my opinion even more suspicious) but Hillary is so incredibly great in MDB that I can't imagine other actress doing such a great or better job than her.

As soon as you get that change, take it It's a *really* great movie, worth every single minute *and every cent that you pay for*. Great actors and great script--- oh God, now I want to watch it again...

I watched it last wednesday and I think this is an absolute mastepiece. And you won't hear me say this very often. This is a simple but beautiful movie.
All the actors were amazing: Hillary Swank, Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman.
And Clint Eastwood is a great director.

I recommend this movie to everyone.
