It was a different character to that one for sure. He normally plays the bumbling fool in most movies so I like this character the best.

The plotline with Liam Neeson was very tender and sweet -- I just wish the writers had focused more on HIM and his grief, rather than his son's mission to get the girl he wanted. The way he ran all over the airport, it reminded me of Kevin from HOME ALONE

^^ The thing that was too funny with Liam's final end to his story is meeting the supermodel look a like, who was in fact the model, but still it was cute!

In all honesty, there were only 2 stories in this movie I actually liked:

1) The plot of Liam Neeson grieving for his wife as he cares for his young son who is experiencing his first crush

2) The plot of Andrew Lincoln's character being secretly in love with Keira Knightley's character

I wish the 2nd plot didn't get so much hate over time. Yes she is married to his best friend, and you have to understand that HE ACCEPTS THAT. He doesn't do anything to try and come between them.

His appearance on their doorstep is a way of resolving those feelings he has for her. He never expected her to reciprocate them, and SHE kisses HIM. She does it because she sees how much he's been suffering by keeping those feeling to himself, and to give him something, anything, to show her appreciation of his feelings.

I don't think it's a betrayal on either of their sides As far as we know, she stays married and that is that.

Totally agreed with you on that. He shows his love for her and his friend, by being as respectful as possible. I think the interaction helps him to move on.

I don't care what anyone says: this scene was beautiful and her scenes with Andrew Lincoln in general (particularly the one where the tape is revealed) were really well done. That quiet realization he has and her acceptance of his love, their awareness that it can't go further; I don't think it was tasteless at all, it was both heart-warming and heart-wrenching.

Andrew Lincoln did such a great, subtle job with his performance in his movie and yet there are so many annoying people who undermine that by calling his character a creep or betrayer.

It's just baffling to me because the whole point of that story arc was to show that Mark was never going to act on his feelings for Bridget. Yes he made that tape of clips about her but how is that creepy? He was in love and that's how he chose to handle it. He didn't stalk her or anything, he just dealt with his feelings by repressing them. That's how much he cared about his best friend. He had no intention of stealing his friend's wife. He loved her from afar.

Then their final scene is about closure. Nobody betrays anyone; she kisses him because she appreciates her feelings for him. There's no affair implication and everything continues as normal.


I swear to god, out of all the convoluted plotlines in this movie, I found his one to be the LEAST offensive.

^ Wow I didn't know that was a thing shows you how much people actually paid attention to the film. His story arc was all about how to let go of someone, despite loving them with your whole heart. Neither character was going to pursue a relationship.
