I haven't seen it yet, but I want to - despite what the critics have said about it.

wes anderson movies have a different kind of humor. when we were watching it, the couple behind us left midway the movie. my cousins and brother and i were laughing on parts we found funny, and the man in front of us kept looking back. i don't know if we're slow or he is.

I really liked it, and most of the audience I saw it with liked it as well by all the roaring laughter. The two friends I went with, though, didn't. They thought some parts were funny, but didn't really catch the more subtle humor that was spread throughout the film.
My favorite character has got to be Willem Dafoe's Klaus, though. He was definitely stealing the scenes throughout the movie. I was reading a couple of reviews for Life Aquatic earlier today, and it seems like most critics thought the movie was a bit random. The events through the film didn't really connect with each other. I agree, but that's partly why I liked it. I love randomness, because I'm such a random person. __________________

with myself too, everything is random!
i agree, Klaus is such a funny character! it was funny that amongst everyone, he was the only one in diving suit-shorts. and yeah, the audience i was with either didn't get it because only my row (with my cousins and brother) were laughing randomly throughout the whole movie. i also like that the pirates were asian! especially those who had speaking parts were filipinos (coz i am) and it was funny to me.... i love the OST too! __________________

I liked the movie a lot. I still liked Royal Tenebaums better though. But I liked Cate Blanchett in it..her accent was all different sounding. And Bill Murray was funny as usual..."i'm the only one that got hit? what's the deal"...HA! Critics are weird.
